BTW - one of the reasons for my blunt and direct approach is that there may be a small chance that someone from AML will be monitoring this board. If they are, then they will know that there is concern about what they are doing and if it continues it may result in a complaint being lodged...as a result that may be prepared to back off to some degree.
Always someone with a smart mouth. Dunnieboy called my out, I replied to him not you. let him fight his own battles. Your comments don't quite wash in the sense that my contribution to the BB was initially totally hostile. I have found that there are some very straight people on here and they were clearly looking for some clue as to what might be happening with the sp and other issues. I provided an honest input. Right or wrong...it was just honest. Some people can't and don't like or want to accept such straight talking, because they have an agenda. By all means attack this post, but don't try and take ownership of comments directed properly at someone else.
although @MFGX
You do not count yourself as a team player. However the people of this board have stuck together and although it does not take business acumen to past numbers and figures thats readily available. to some and others that use this board because they dont know were to look it is beneficial. so please do not insult the integrity of those who are helping others.
My i also remind you that we are in a game of money. Of wich follows emotion. and we have all fallen guilty of emotion managing our voice. Its natural for people to get hopes and to question why when its not played out.
but most stick around becuase the understanding arrives after the emotion has faded and the calculations take over.
This BB is used by the experianced and the new. Everyone is valued. inline and opposing. unless they are a deramper :)
@MFGX
i do find your posts a good read. and your points are interesting, On a number of occasion foul play has been considered as we can all agree. manipulation has been mentioned by all.
The line of unfair/foul play though is a blurry one. Although i dont feel is suspect here.
Looking at the events and trends it is clear there has been some manipulation but its hard to say where. coupled with external factors i feel the elements has been against us.
i would say we have been in the thick of it and should get through it to the blue skies. I have built a model on the data thats come from AML. and reviewing it like many others that have crossed my desk, i see this lasting out any manipulation/current climate. im sure your model will provide the same insight. what would be a concern if the level of manipulation persists in months to come. in wich case im sure you will, like me. be making a phone call.
@33, going to open an account. will ping you my email if you get time feel free to share screen over there as i wont be able to do much till tomorrow aft
MFGX, I haven’t actually rubbished what you say, all I’ve stated is that most of us knew all the problems from when we’ve bought, there’s been no surprises here for me, the one thing that has probably upset me is that we’ve been excluded from the fundraising & it should of been a rights issue, but as the share has often traded below 50p I have accepted it.
However your last post comes across very high handed, to be quite frank ‘someone who is stuck up their own arse’, you have said ‘don’t question your professional judgment’, but when I asked what your professional qualifications were earlier you declined to answer.
When I state I’m ‘basic’, I meant I like to go to the ‘heart of the matter’, instead of beating about the bush.
I do question when any poster says ‘I’ve got shares in seven figures’, because you might or might not have.
With regard to me questioning your professional qualifications, which we still don’t know what they are, well surely your questioning the professional qualifications of our CFO, of which we can be assured that he does have.
NET & HEAR just posted incredible financials, hope some of you guys got in there too.
CRSR should be even more upbeat, expecting north of $30 from CRSR next week and think HEAR & NET will see big gains tomorrow and throughout day, their Q4 are gonna be on fire!
Dunnieboy, you are like a number of people on the BB, you judge people by your own yardstick. From what I have read of your posts, and no disrespect intended, you are very unlikely to understand my mindset. I have no major issue with the sp per se, I have an issue with being caught in an unfair game. I like to use my knowledge and experience to pick shares, but that only has a value on a level playing field. If I take a loss, its only my ego that gets dented, my bank balance will be fine as I only use money I can afford to lose.
The concerns I have raised relate to my experience of companies and dealing with UHNWI. I have done extensive work at a 'C' level and this includes the turnaround of basket case companies and much more besides. I am not concerned with debt. After all, as long as its managed properly it is nothing more than quasi capital that has a fixed as opposed to an indefinite and variable cost, such as that attached to a shareholder with the call a member has on dividends and share of the equity. Getting the WACC balance correct is part of the CFO's job. For a number of reasons I have a particular affinity with Aston Martin. The issues here in my opinion are not straight forward. If as you say, you are a 'basic man' then don't question my professional judgement with nonsense and accusation, both of which are unfounded. It does not take a lot of business acumen to cut and paste the share volumes and generally available data. I have monitored the posts for months on the BB with people constantly expecting the sp to rise and on every occasion, bar when the sp shot up to circa 80p they have been confounded. And when it did get to 80p it was quickly shot down. I am not a team player, but I thought it would be interesting to share an insight. as one of my academic supervisors constantly said to me, 'you can accept reject or modify input and feedback' , I say the same to you. But if you are going to rubbish what I have to say...then make your comments evidence based. And just so we are clear... I look at my share dealing in a company over a period of time, not just the holding I have on a given day. If I dumped my AML shares in the morning I will be ahead as I made a profit on the spike.
for bond data
@33 wich platform you use?
MFGX, your obviously no ones fool, and your posts are well put together, I’m a much more basic man.
What I don’t understand is you have over a million shares.
Well surely knowing as much as you know then you must have seen this coming, this was a debt laden company when you bought in, so there was always going to be funds raised and with that goes dilution.
The bonds was debt reorganisation, and eased pressure in the short term.
I accept there has been a element of control over the sp, do you not think it may easily as been ‘supported’ as ‘held down’?
There has been a seller of over 150m shares in IndustrialInvestor, and now a exiting director is selling, alongside two per cent of the company being shorted.
With that weight on the shares they could have been smashed down easily to 25p.
When the market has such a big seller it spooks the market, in the midst of this selling Stroll has had to secure big funds, no mean feat.
A pound of the investors money has bought the Yew Tree investors the same amount of shares as our pound.
So no matter what way you look at it we are in the same position as ‘the big boys’.
A while back I had a average of about 56p, I’ve worked my socks off & put extra funds, upon funds to get it down to the 50p mark & am more or less there.
Is it your average price that is bothering you?
If so I could understand, if for example it was 75p well I could understand your worries
If it was 30p you’d be lauding it as the great British comeback co.
Dimi - good to hear you are ok. Hope things have picked up for you share wise. Miss your updates.
3300 - agree with your post of 19:08.
Mgfx - thank you for your various points. You were right about 80p. It was high 80s when market recovered in early June. Remember it well as had shares in mid 70s, missed the high 80s that day and cursed as it went down to the 40s!!!!
All - I have not contacted investor relations but will do in a week or so. Agree the final bond rates should be announced and cannot understand (1) why they told 3300 or whoever there will be no RNS regarding this and (2) how we went from Stroll saying in H1 presentation no need for more equity and a positive statement a week or so later that AML had cash flow for the next 6-12 months to then saying there was a material issue with the business three months later. Stroll had been in situ for months by H1 presentation so cannot understand the change. In my initial post on here I referred to Pantarei (who I hope is well). He made the point about his Chelsea shares, not trusting KB but never thinking RA would get his shares for what he did and then not getting a share of the spoils as the club turned around. Hoping not case here and genuine reasons such as exiting NED, trying to recruit further high level execs, want stability to attract IIs are the reason for the current SP. Time will tell. Fingers crossed.GLA
Thank you MFGX for the time you invest here...
And also to the other good contributions of the last days...(Except of course the ones from Dunnieboy!! LOL)
I am still not in in AML, but read every article here...
I am sorry that I am not writing here more often, but I don't see anything in the course of this...Everybody stay strong...
3300 - Over the next week or so I will go over the Q3 report and last years final accounts. I will see if I can build a basic model of the business and then overlay that with some car numbers. The trouble with doing all of the work is that at the end of the day it will be just a guess. It is much easier to be wrong than right when making such guesses. There are also some other, what I would call, minor issues. In terms of costs they will be settling the existing binds early and there may be a one off hit to the P&L for this. Depending on the terms of the existing notes, they may have to pay all of the interest that will fall due through to maturity. That will mean paying a lot of interest this year. Also, depending on how the old versus new notes are secured, they may not settle all of them now. I just got that impression from the wording. These could be quite big numbers so trying to guesstimate financing costs would be very difficult. Putting to one side the issue of what might be put before the members in December as a curve ball, I do think that Stroll has assembled a first class team. After all it is because of my innate knowledge of the company, the cars, F1 and Eon productions, that I decided to invest in AML. What has soured the position as far as I am concerned is the management/manipulation of the share price and the obfuscation regarding a lot of key information that would enhance the sp. For me it sp does not have to run away for me to be comfortable, it is the way it is being blocked. I look for patterns and even in random or chaotic systems there often patterns of behaviour. We all see support levels and resistance levels that can move over a period, but I have rarely seen a share so controlled. It does make me wonder why. There would be a lot of upside for Stroll if there was a strong share price based on the progress he is making. It would have resulted in perhaps a lower coupon on the bond. Money is cheaper now then when the original bond were issued. Also, issuing the report with the particular wording in relation to the going concern just before the bond issue. I don't think it was a coincidence that the UK debt portion was cancelled once the Q3 report was issued. Proceed with caution is where I am at the moment.
great sound!
Too busy scratching heads wondering who'll come out first and stick head on block)))
Yes thats what i was thinking but it says on here https://www.lse.co.uk/news/AML/uk-earnings-trading-statements-calendar-next-7-days-w7ktchis2p5453p.html
Don’t think we’re expecting anything on the 12 adbon, even the AML investors calendar shows nothing on the 12 anymore. I’ll hold till at least that date as that was always my intention then make a decision..
We already had the earnings didn't we? So are we expecting anything new at 12th
@c26 absolutly yield is a good indicator of risk, also an indicator of future financials/trends
my understanding is current yield is due to rating vs finances vs security(market and brand). a decrease from 12% yield shows they are more confident than their previous
apologies i mean to put increased term not reduced (responding in a lovely meeting and not great at multi tasking)
I will see if i can pull the previous holders when im finished for the day.
Ive never believed.......... stoll has been in the ....driving seat of AML.....
I ve always believed......... DAI has been pulling the strings .........since stroll got involved......
DAI....... have installed their top man .............Toby from AMG........ I have 100 percent faith in......
AML performance.... engineering will.... mirror AMG...under ...the hood etc.........
which.. to me is a .......good thing....execellent hand built engines..
and the... next phase of...... HEV , BEV high tech in the..... near future..
when we speak of the DAI partnership ......its often compared to ....Mercedes cars etc,etc....
when in reality .....it should be compared to...... AMG brand....
which .....Toby made a great success.......
AML..... Styling...... will always be luxury based......not AMG
MFGX and Richard has made some good points......Palmer made a mess of it......
as Ive said before......
Toby...... knows all about..... product branding ..... and customer based marketing .....
he is also a ........hands on petrol head...and he knows a ......thing or two about design......
so...... I am sure he will ...bring AML back to their... roots as well as bringing in newcuting edge tech....
it has been noted that..... Mark Reichman......was not available in the ....Q and A live debate.
I think Toby might well bring in a .......new chief designer .....fresh....blood... ideas...
keeping Mark Reichman on as adviser.
Englander totally agree with you spot on my friend.
There were many bonds of varying prices before, between 8 and 12%.
Bonds are not negative per se, but we can tell how risky a company is based on the coupon, or interest rate.
No idea what you mean by reducing the term.
I am guessing the new bondholders are much the same folk as the previous holders, as the issuer is in charge of paying it back early or not.
MFGX, I had read that the new Vantage was rushed to the market. Whether this had a bearing on the front end styling I don't really know. AML certainly now have the tools to finesse the Vantage to how it should have been and also address the fussiness of the DB11 rear and the front end of the DBS. The only thing is that styling is always subjective so none of us will totally be happy, whatever they do.
I was thinking that whereas Aston have a trademark grille shape that defines their cars, some other supercar manufacturers do not. Ferrari ooze beauty and style (usually) but don't have a trademark grille. If it's a shape that makes the heartbeat quicker, then it's usually a Ferrari. Porsche have brilliant engineering but no family grille and they're not often designs that make you weak at the knees. Each manufacturer appeals to a slightly different type of person and their stylists need to understand the emotions of their buyers. AML rather lost sight of this and the purity that previously was the hallmark of their designs. I hope the new leadership regains it.
calculations based on coupon rate on the tin.
Cant remember mention of PIK in the rns,
ad a quick glance but dont have time to full detail,
if someone can reference it il update quick sheet and repost.
@C26 bond were at cheaper rate to previous @12% and matches others @10.25%
Bonds are not a negatve sign.
they are also being used to pay previous debt @2022
appreciate the reduced % is omittigated by the additional years. however this reduces the term to pay back. breating space to focus on the restructure
sorry for spelling ect frantic typing.
3300, that’s not very nice about the bf?
