Interstate = Intraday *
Halifax have “price locking” but it’s based on previous days close share price. I’d want something that ups it intrastate for the stocks I tend to trade.
“ Price locking An intuitive stop loss. Automatically adjusts your stop price to lock in rises when shares climb, and protect you from sharp falls.
More on price locking
Use price locking to track and benefit from a rising share price. We describe it as an intuitive stop loss; it automatically adjusts your stop loss target price each day to lock in any price rises. For example, if the current price for XYZ plc is 650p you could set a 20p Price Locking stop loss to sell at 630p. If the share price falls to 630p during the trading day, then your shares would be sold. If the shares rise and close at 660p, your stop loss order would be increased from 630p to 640p maintaining your 20p tolerance. Our stop loss facility does not guarantee your price locking tolerance price.”
Wolves Thanks for info, im happy to be corrected like i said it was my understanding .
Itsagame - trailing stop loss are not provided for share dealings (from what I can see) but I want it as a feature too. It was very useful when I was trading FX.
Which platform offers the best “trailing stop loss” ?
That’s where I need to improve, Would like to let my winners run Automatically a lot more.
I second Interactive Investor. Their App is good too.
Has anybody moved off HL to another platform? recommendations & experience
II is good
9.99 a month and I think 7.99 per trade
another tenner and you get L2
My understanding You sell your HL shares, close account Pay £50 for closing account then buy with another broker So basically you could lose out
Anyone know what’s involved if you’ve bought shares through 1 broker and then move to another? Also which brokers are better than HL?.
I’ve had enough of them knowing about the problem but not fixing it!!
I might have to do get Lvl 2 now... or even change the provider... HL sucks!!!
I had the same issue and ended up paying for LSE level 2 access which is invaluable.
Frustrating mate
Not funny when when minutes could cost you 000's
I have no clue what's going on with HL but I am so glad they are not my broker.
Investors with them are having to talk about technical issues instead of being able to discuss the shares they've invested in.
seamus12 believe or not that's what they also argued... LMAO yes... back to 70s... call me and I will sit you in the queue... hopefully u didn't lose 10% when someone connect your call LoL...
Trufflehound problem is live prices are not on screen, when your about deal live price is given, which is totally different to price on screen, therefore the risk is huge to making misjudgment on the deal. Alert doesnt kick in Stop loss can be missed .
live price.. delays... unable to trade... web, mobile apps doens't work.. they admitted they have bugs and trying to fix it... but this thing fixed then back again... the service fees they charges just way behind their service level provided
Cardinal , did your problem with prices apear when
you were makin a trade, that`s what happened to me.
I thought you'd just spoken to him on the phone :)
