Maybe NP heard the bacon butties were getting served with brown sauce..
Just how relevant this is, I am unsure. But Nathan Piper from Amerisur was booked for an evening event at the Scottish Oil Club on 19th September. However, it now appears that the CEO of Africa Oil will be presenting instead. With Amerisur up for sale, cancelling the presentation seems perfectly understandable. That said, I thought that this would have been arranged some time ago - the Club sent out reminders for the event on 19th August. Is an announcement imminent?
Which is the best app for live prices , i am on one atm which says AMER is down 0.20 and another says it’s 0.30 up !
Should see a fair run up in the s.p into the interims release
lol - slippedonabananaman100.
what firm have you just joined?
Interesting that with a majority of sells this morning the share price has held. Maybe awaiting fill orders in the background.
Also, now that hols are over I'd expect bankers, accountants, brokers, analysts, etc back at their desks working on dd and likely takeover price. Would be surprised if bids are not on the table by end of this month. GLA
AIM is heaven for companies to screw naive and greedy individuals. You do know things could still ‘not’ materialise and the price could crash back down? All the bullish talks about 24p,32p even some 40p for the sale, no doubt the higher the better for individuals like you or me. However in real life, it doesn’t work like that. Amer management would continue to screw us and reap most benefit themselves (inside trading always the most advantageous as my broker friends told me. There’s no ethic or code of conduct and there’re many ways to get round being caught inside dealing anyway). All I see is ppl speculating here as we all are because is our nature to hope for the best, and that’s where Amer and the shorters would lick their lips and tout you and me to pour more money into Amer.
this week or next
"who know"
- well, clearly Grandeur Peak
could be to cover management fees. who knows.
I just can’t see any situation where the sale doesn’t go through. It’s clear the BOD just want out now and surely Amerisur is a company worth buying. They also said there was numerous parties interested. It just seems very unlikely none of the interested parties would make a reasonable bid?
all together now: for every seller there is a .....
in any event, i would not say that 500K was "such a large sale "
perhaps SP taken up at COP to trigger buy orders of those not wanting to get caught short?
We will see today if that rise on Friday was short term manipulation to allow an 18p sale. I too wonder why the timing of the sell, possibly just some risk management.
Why would anyone like that be selling at this point ? Also if such a large sale went through how did we finish up be near 5 percent
How did they manage to sell 500,000 at 18p on Friday, the bid/ask did not facilitate this, again shows disparity of opportunity for PI's and institutions!
Hi Bays. Interested in your thoughts. Strategically GTE would be very interested. They do have undrawn 300m facility perhaps a cash and shares offer. I wondered whether they were one of the other interested parties to farm in but OXY got the nod. GTE share price has taken a pummelling, as others have stated although there has been some insider buying this year. Either way lets see how it plays out.
“Are you even surprised?”
Peeps, ONGC playing us like Glass Monkeeeeeees why drill the margins, create dusters and thin finds - when 3 development wells - 1 in M1 + 2 in I! would yield self developing cashflows in their own right - that would ad +$150m to CPO 5 which is not what ONGC want to get our 30% cheap - that tactic failed with the intro of the Big M - at least this impasse has stopped the bullying of ONGC - HNY GLA
ColonelDrake - You wax on & wax off like a good un. If you are in debt, BuBBA you just can't go Avengers Assembly - covenants - look at PMO last 3 years. That s what I said GTE are moribund in share buys backs and debt covenants to launch a big one - not to say enlist in a co=op deal , so are Geopark . That's why I think the fast track Private equity is THE THREAT CD - GTE produce 35kbopd FFS even with Amer that's Feck all. ONGC have hit us when all other ops are down Except Mich that's why he come out. Smell the coffee or are you double dealing FFS. HNY GLA. GN
Hate to ruin your theory but the reason for the fall in GTE s/p is that it is mainly traded on the Canadian market, and the whole Canadian oil and gas market is on the floor - GTE has done better than most.
If I can make back VOG and recent PDL losses here, I’ll be glad to break even overall.
Nicely explained. Fingers crossed you recoup some vog losses like myself. From 5 years ago. Foo imo should have been investigated. Did they ever win the insurance claim or was that just another load of ****e. Anyway we have proven deal makers here that are good negotiating. This next two weeks should see a definite price movement. ONGC or OXY. Or a complete outsider?...……...
Out on 12th September, so would expect further update on takeover ahead of that. Next week could be interesting. GLA
