There you go 40k plus trade, negotiated I expect. Now 12.50p to buy. Shares will become 'tight' to accumulate especially.
You can now buy & sell at 11.50p. What's all that about! At least with Halifax
You can now buy, back at the Bid price!?! 11.50p. All very strange. MM's messing about or a hefty sell OR buy going through the system. Who knows!?! No debt, no dilution, robust cash position, considering little overheads, interesting assets & potential especially MGR & the copper mine investment. Copper prices back to two year high+. And the rig.....
search navibulgar yzj over last 7 day period - various articles come up - most paid for
cash in, any news?
The Interims were interesting when it said that the yard was getting ready to deliver the rig. Much more positive than getting the rig ready for delivery. Not too long now I feel.
tic up expected - awaiting the main event
The sheik will be looking for a very good return through his investment vehicle..
I think we're looking at close to £1 on the rig deal. Our market cap was £28M at one point before we started to build the rig or had a contract. We are now below 5M
Interesting comment from Bowood on iii. 'AMED is not for day trading IMO. However I do feel it is one to buy into ahead of the year end 31 December as I am sure they will want to get the sale of the rig in the year end numbers. Were that to happen and with good progress on processing metals into China by MGR there should be scope for a massive rerate. Such a rerate could come via a pre close statement in December following the receipt of proceeds from the sale of the rig. There could be scope for 30p plus by the end of the year.'
Knicol46, that further $Billion contract fell through later that year, I understand. We're still awaiting further sizeable contract wins.
aware of explorer 1 rig - completed, tested, awaiting payment, another one being built? http://worldmaritimenews.com/archives/103764/yzj-offshore-to-build-two-drilling-platforms-for-primepoint-drilling/
current offer
go 100%+
Easily to 50p on news... will put JOG to shame..
positive movement ahead
I agree - with the current sp covered by the loan to MGR and the cash at bank, any delivery of the rig which must be imminent will send the MC well higher. Timing is key but it could be days rather than weeks so its important to be invested rather than thinking about it.
@ offer
just found this info unsure if new contract.. https://www.balticshipping.com/vessel/imo/9732618
It's all a numbers game, as the market anticipates rig scrapping and increased demand. Of course, the latter will be influenced by geopolitical events affecting the oil price and day rates. That is why companies with high spec jackup rigs will eventually be in a very strong position. Interestingly, as we progressed through a much lower capex spend for oil companies, that decreased demand for rigs, triggers further scrapping. Something that is vital for the industry. This allows the big players to benefit hugely from the cycle upturn. Note the last paragraph headed "85% (utilization) will happen eventually" "We don't know when we will see 85% utilization across the market. But we expect the jackup and semisub markets to balance first. And once someone decides to scrap the first modern ultra deepwater drillship, we'll know we are getting close. https://www.bassoe.no/offshore-rig-market-to-reach-85-utilization-again/news/61/
Booom.. bring on news..!
the yard is preparing to deliver the rig - I will assume this means just like having your car valet, driver coming to collect soon. Awaiting news.
Indications from the RNS suggests that the Rig will be delivered shortly and if this is the cast then it will return substantial funds to the JV. This should provide funding for further builds or a return of cash to the JV partners. In any event it will be good news for AMED and the M/C - The only unknown is could it be next week or in a couple of months. Once delivered the share price will be move up to recognise the increased asset value rather than ignoring the Rig value.
Yep! Bought in early 2014 on the hype of this rig order and the new yard. Uber positive comments from the rig's "customer" about the build quality and the company's ability to deliver on schedule! (About a year if I remember right) My word, that seems a long time ago, and yes, my original 3800 is currently down at 190. :(
