Swest, agree regarding the Feldspar, it can significantly reduce the AISC which is already very low. Might mean AISC per tonne of SC6 is $500-550, imagine that.
Nice half year report, we're getting there step by step. A lot of progress made, a bit more to do over the coming day, weeks, months and then ALL systems go. :)
Yep.
Right now I am holding 3 companies with their main focus doing business in Africa. Firefinch FFX, mining gold in Mali got shafted by everybody in involved. Invictus IVZ is haggling with Gov over a product sharing agreement. And with ALL, although being in a much safer African jurisdiction, I am now reminded that is still Africa. How long did it take to receive first dollars from MIIF. And now ratification takes longer than anticipated. Ghana stock market listing still not finalised. Maybe we are not patient enough, but looking at my 2 other stocks, once you are between a rock and a hard place, it's difficult to get out of there.
That's why I wish we we would get the ML ratification soon.
Yes Samuel Jinapor head of Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources said in December that it will come before Parliament by March 2024..that looks to be cutting it fine
Sairfecht This was the original story

But as you say, it is not clear cut , he has been arrested

Thanks guys, surely it’s in their own interests to get it sorted asap? Or is it greed ie they just want a higher share of the profits? Unfortunately African mining isn’t quick at doing anything (I’m in Kodal too). Let’s all hope it gets sorted soon hey!
There had been some hints they would bring it to the parliament in March. However I have seen nothing recently. I believe the Ghanaian parliament has a recess in April so the next session would be May. The bigger question is when does a delayed ratification begin to delay the timeline to start building. They can't get an operating licence before ratification. My guess is if ratification doesn't happen by the end of May that will delay spades in the ground. At the Feb conference they presented at, they indicated Aug/Sept to start building. At the same time they said they how to finish all of the permitting by the end of May. So we can hope that includes ratification. At the end of the day Ghana is a sovereign state and the parliament has the right to do as it wants, they also have other things to do in running the country.
Ahh the golden question, when ..
I believe we're targeting by Q2.
Trouble is, if you've seen them waffling on in their chamber, you might ask which Q2 which year.
Talking at length while saying almost nothing seems to be the parliamentary Ghanaian way (sorry if that a but offensive, just opinion)
Hi swest I was wondering if you have any idea when ratification will happen? Surely the economics of the project are very strong for the government? Or do they want more of the pie? If it doesn’t then does that mean Atlantic won’t be able to mine which obviously wouldn’t be good news. I’m trying to get my head round it all…but finding it a tad confusing cheers
They extra hidden carrot here, not mentioned enough imo, its that Feldspar.
Once it flows free ride, we drop significantly down that cost curve, and at anything like 1200 spod that a good place to be indeed
1200 is a great barometer, great news
Well aware we are cycle or so from production, but these metrics do affect that other priceless commodity, sentiment.
I sincerely hope our news flows with what is looking like potential great timing
From my perspective / opinion on the share, I am now desperate to ratify here. I don't agree with the statement its a formality. With rat, we have control. Come on Parliament.
SC6 @ $1200

Would be a great time to release news soon. Anyway, you can only release news if you got news.
All the lithium indicies up and ALL up on ASX. Looking forward to the news trickling in
Was older news that I thought, back in the days when ICE vehicles were all the rage:
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/help-i-m-doing-135mph-and-can-t-stop-6106928.html
I’m sure it happened more recently and the driver was at fault but maybe that memory has succumbed to lockdown haze .
Hmmm… is that really true?
Last time that happened it was BMW and the driver couldn’t make it stop either.
He lied and was done for speeding.
There was a story in the newspaper the other day about a runaway Jaguar EV on the M62 moving at a very high speed with the driver unable to stop it. Brake malfunction , he was able to dial 999 somehow , the police acted quickly thankfully and had to box him in to stop . Scary stuff.
Lands soon. Crucially its £14,995
Thats the sea change that UK EV needs
Audi E trons and so forth are great, but with a typical 8 infront they are not mass market machines
These wider developments are very relevant to our storey
Lithium spot and futures up day after day. Spodumene going to $1100-1200 per tone it would appear...
Major offtake days/weeks away more likely to go north of 30p with or without another takeover bid with what's coming soon.
Are we going sub 19p ?
I want to imagine this is because it’s about to rocket… but I find it quite baffling!
The terms rather than who will be the big determinatior on the price reaction I reckon. To get 70 to 100m up front for a 500k supply dealwill mean either a decent discount to spot or a bargain fixed price for the offtaker, or a mix? How much will have a big impact on Atlantic's earnings over the 5 years of the deal.
I hope a decent amount will have a floor price that gives profit.
Looking forward
Entering territory now where will get an announcement for the offtaker. If it's BYD, Ganfeng, Rio Tinto or another big player like that the SP will get a serious boot up its ass. Also 3rd Assore bid looming.
