Totally agree
This will come out of administration, the assets and production r to valuble to fold up
I got into Afren in January, been watching this board every day since then, there are a few really sad persons on here that appear to want to cause misery to others, my own view, it doesn't look good BUT, as the saying goes, its not over till the fat lady sings.
PleSe give it a rest. People hear have invest a lot of money and have lost all of it. We don't need all the insults (of course not directed at me so none taken but still. Many of us are keeping the hope that this is not the end before finally letting go of we really have too. It wasn't money to play with. Hard earn cash and now gone. A former fste 250 company to this. Had faith that they would be able to turn this company around.
You seem have a lot to say on a suspended share that's in administration. What's the point?
shame you guys can't get on. I learnt a lot from reading posts from both of you.
Catch ya later Isengard.
Unfortunately your collective egos as asog far outshone your ability to mount any meaningful campaign, or try to find any course of meaningful dialogue with any other concerned party. You offered hope where there was none, threats when you were toothless, I called you a bunch of dangerous amateurs at the very start of your campaign. Today, i think I was being generous in that description.
I think you told people that a no vote would likely destroy afren and leave the bondholders with nothing. I think you were WRONG. I think you've misdirected your sheep and cost them ownership of afren. what do you think peteb308, petrol pump man ?
Tell me, did you point out to 'people' that legal moves at the end of June had been set in motion by afren and the creditors to convene and vote on the future of afren on July 29 ? Did you 'tell people' that afren may well continue as a going concern, under voluntary agreement between creditors and the company, whatever the vote ? Or did you 'tell people' that a no vote would be highly likely to force bondholders back to the table, or destroy afren if they didn't come back to the table ?
You're '....trying to help people understand......' YOU ? lol. I'm here to try and keep dishonest people honest, no mean feat given the task you present me with, lol.
Isengard, if asog say it's all over, maybe you should have that lingering doubt and denial - Seriously.
Now, isn't THAT an interesting statement ? Sounds like at least one asog member wants afren wound up, and quickly. Then again, that was their stated aim from the beginning.
I'm here to stop the lunatics totally taking over the asylum, lol. That is the polite answer. Why are you so concerned ? Do I ask anyone the reason for them being here ?
Compared to 99.9% of this board who are in total denial, your small lingering denial is fair enough, lol. Seriously though, at least you're reasoning through every eventuality, and maybe you're seeing something, which wouldn't surprise me, lol.
You can say its in Admin because the BoD have been useless. But then to be fair the BoD hasn't been replaced. we have AL and David Tomas the new COO. But apart from that the BoD hasn't been replaced. So they haven't been firing on all cylinders. The last RNS doesn't sound final to me in my view. maybe just a bit of denial still lingering.
Thanks for coming back Isengard, now the grown up conversations can start again. I gotta go again soon though, before they start being mean to me, lol. Even 30 million in an open issue just a couple of months back though would have been a huge %age, given the company value back then. Given that they appeared to look at all options, I'd assume they thought of an open issue as well.
GG, Well after seeing the ST article looks like they need another $250m just too much. when i wrote the post below i was thinking of the $30m shortfall they mentioned in one of the recent RNSs. I would think a $30m open offer back in April or May would have been achievable. but $250m no chance lol.
Yeah, it is you isn't it ? I remember you said you worked in the oil industry.
Still knitting, still watching you all losing your heads, lol.
Still here hows the knitting going?
peteb308 - is it you said you work in a petrol station ?
Didn't we have 200 mill in the accounts at christmas we've also used the 200mill recap? Now they want another 250mill plus what about our revenue over the last 7 mths does this add up to all on ere. Something sure is going on....
Oh, that's cut me to the quick, lol. No more, please, lol.
I would like to buy you all a copy of 'Investing for Dummies', but it doesn't come with crayons.
