it couldn´t get any worse....... at least they will now have to look for something else and spend the cash in the bank...... before anyone says it, No Thank You Sound Oil-Energy.
Bllx.
Today's RNS is the final nail in the coffin on that one then. With no production and no ongoing exploration they need to sell up. Question is whether thye have the acumen to get any sort of deal for the cash and if so at what discount. Back to Sound with an offer if they have any sense.
is pretty meaningless. All about Ireland/Kosmos now.
an international oil and gas exploration company, today announces that it has successfully completed its four well abandonment program in the United Kingdom Central North Sea. Under the abandonment program, Antrim permanently abandoned three suspended wells on the Fyne Licence (P077, Block 21/28a) and one suspended well on the Erne Licence (P1875, Block 21/29d). The final net cost of the abandonment program to Antrim is anticipated to be in line with previous estimates. FEL 1-13 has a 15 year term, with an initial three-year term followed by three four-year terms. At least three months before the end of the initial term a work programme for the second term must be proposed. That programme must include the drilling of an exploration well. At the end of the initial three-year term (July 4, 2016), 25% of the acreage must be relinquished.
Looks like the sign is still up but the board are looking for opportunities also (if we can believe that) Would be nice if Kosmos took us out - for the right price!!
Nice to see a bit of blue in here,

I have not seen the film you mention, will have a look sometime. BW
I think they got the idea from Jack Ryan, watch the film.
This sentence- "Some journalists have insinuated that the US administration deliberately manipulated the price of oil down in order to punish, and defeat Russia, following their invasion of the Ukraine."- reflects my views also. BW

http://putlocker.ms/watch-jack-ryan-shadow-recruit-online-free-putlocker-2014.html Watch out for the line about the oil price dropping below $79 a barrel.
No I haven't seen it. Tbh the whole oil oil and gas sector seems out of favour ATM. There may be bargains to be had, but not yet, I feel. I forecast more heavy falls and am trying to be patient. I won't be buying more shares anywhere for a while, waiting for the 'right' moment to buy back in. Happy with my Sound oil shares though, they may fall further, but that just means I wil get more shares for my money when I decide to increase my holding. Fairly confident about Sound's prospects, but none of us can know for sure. Good luck with Antrim anyway, I have no reason to want it to do badly, just feel that cash is just locked in here and can't really see a way out. You might not have liked the Sound deal, but at least it offered some hope. Let's see how the stories unfold......
Joe, have you seen the Jack Ryan film? I think the whole oil price crash was aimed at Russia and if you watch that film thats part of the story line, and it all happened not long after the release of that film.
No worries Joe, its the only bit of fun I get, yes oil not looking good, you should try xtr, build up a nice holding there and in 2 years time we should have a nice sp.
Apologies, meant for you to read on the Sound board. Joe.
I have learnt not to throw stones.....perhaps you should too. The oil price is dire (well from a 'potential' oil producer's point of view) and likely to remain this way with Iran coming on board in the next couple of years. I wouldn't touch oil with a barge pole now.
Someone in the know is slowly accumulating shares here;)))))))) which is nice too see.
every day it seems
