Hopefully we will have a rapid recovery to .80 this week
nothing is going on!!! may be something will go on .
Solo up 20% + again , Aex up 0% again. Solo now above 1.00p , Aex 0.5p . What’s going on?
I doubt it anything to do with the Zubairs deal on Solo rather it was taken down on nothing and just recovering on buying movement, even tho I got 25% in here and 75% I’m concerned at no RNS and lockdown in Tans or not this would of not stopped the Licence arriving on the doormat as it was completed supposedly months ago, the debt deadline I expect to be moved forward so no worries there but will we get any substantial news on the drill or will it be a big virus excuse coming hmmm
Large movements up with small volume so just as likely a correction moving up in the same way it fell. If it's anything else, then I expect we will know next week.
sorry that should have read, (then it would most likely be)
hi dunder, keeping well and safe I hope, the most likely conclusion is, if there is any news leaking from the good ship Solo, then I would most likely be related to their Tanzanian assets
Tanzania
Solo Mon, 2nd Mar RNS
"The Board is encouraged by the continued positive statements by the operator, Aminex, and its prospective farm-in partner, APT, and the apparent progress being made with the Government of Tanzania towards resolution of the outstanding licence renewal. "
"The Company continues to see a consistent level of unsolicited interest in its Tanzanian natural gas assets. Within the last 18 months, a number of expressions of interest have been received, alongside direct approaches, each of which was explored, but found at the time, not to be considered in the best interest of shareholders."
"As a result, the Board has determined that the most appropriate course of action is to run a formal process to explore value realisation options for the assets including, but not limited to, the sale of Solo's interests in the certain, or all, of its Tanzanian assets. In particular, the Board is confident in the inherent value of its 25% interest in the Ruvuma asset and will consider reasonable offers that reflect the quality of the asset and its significant upside potential. A formal dataroom has been established and the Company intends to launch a formal process in the course of the next week 7-10 days. Further updates will be provided as and when appropriate."
Maybe related to their other assets as well because as highly criticised as their mgt were (although in a totally different league from aex "mgt") they do have some diversification of course?
All imho.
Bring back the list.
...or a PSA announcement. Which do you prefer Chris ?
Well on top of the 25% rise yesterday, solo is up another 17% so far today. Maybe they do have a buyer for Ruvuma?
Hi Tanzania, as far as we last heard everyone is still waiting on the PSA terms, after which they can get on with issuing licences to all those waiting...
Good of you to respond CP, thanks. How many of the operators were producing and getting paid I wonder. One for sure was Wentworth, so I'm assuming they can just turn the taps back on. This of course reminds us all of the heady days with KN1 and an Aminex web site boasting ' Debt Free Gas Producer'. A real mystery why we lost that revenue and whether for sure we can restore production. But as you say, it's that acreage of ours that must surely have attracted the Omani's and the free carry we will be due to receive.
Many moons ago Tanzania, in the dim and distant past, when JB was still the CEO he did state at the EGM that the licenses were expected t arrive "in batches" and that he "hoped" that AEX was in the first batch. That said an awful lot of water has passed under the bridge since then so it is questionable whether that assertion would still apply. There are an awful lot of companies considerably larger than AEX or even ARA that are in the queue.... but then few of them have as large a prospect as Ntorya, so what priorities will determine that order?
Whilst I've got your attention Chris, assuming Licences finally arrive, do you know if it is the case all the operators are waiting for them ? As a guess who do think will hear first or will we all get the 'off' together ? I know it's anybody's guess what AEX's value will be but when I think of the fully funded $40m work programme, frankly it warms my ****les !
Ah, the good old days when there was something to leak Tanzania, I vaguely remember them ;0)
All sorts of reasons for this, one being the possibility the Zubs making an offer. Without upsetting you Chris, years ago it was argued that as a partner with AEX, it was regarded as a leaky ship. More likely it's is an investor taking a position but whatever it is, it relieves the boredom of waiting for the very well overdue news.
