Yes, see the after hours RNS yesterday, ha ha
Anyone have any thoughts about the 5.17m 'buy' that's been logged this morning? Something left-over from the book build?
The gist of it (I think) is that the takeover of this company is great exposure for Abzena's product. I.e., the recurring revenue from the licence. More good things from this hidden AIM gem.
Chunky buy there.
next month. Presumably no news before then. Things are very quiet but that's not a bad things necessarily.
Explains the price movements on little volume.
research note out.... such low freefloat here?: Directors 1.7% Invesco 25.8% Woodford 23.0% Touchstone 16.9%
Follow the money👍🏻
up as well. Hopefully a sign of good things to come.
Nice price you got then😀
My 8,000 buy at 8:08 this morning showing as sell?
It does yes. Shame I jumped in a little early (44p average roughly) - but I don't that will matter when this is around 150-200p in a couple of years time; provided all goes to plan.
Cheers for link. Everything is looking very positive at Abzena.
CFO, sorry.
Only doubled, trebled mine 😀
Doubled my holding today, happy to pay 3% extra than the II in placing. What an opportunity!
Revenue growth of 46 per cent was reported for the six months to September 2016, the Board believes that the net proceeds of the Placing will enable the Company to fund a growth plan with the target of delivering compound annual revenue growth in excess of 40 per cent. for the Group over the next three years and a target of improving gross margins to 50 per cent. Together with the increased operational gearing expected from the scale-up of operations, the attainment of this level of growth in the business is expected to bring forward the Group's achievement of profitability and the scaled-up business will be capable of generating greater profits than would otherwise have been possible without the implementation of the growth plan.
Ha ha there she is
Well I've just trebled mine, my 10K purchase not showing up yet, hmm
Just from reading the information in the RNS. I'm still amazed that the three biggest share holders were able buy most of those shares yet non of them increased they holdings. If one of them increased their holdings the take over panel would have been involved now.
What makes you think there may be a takeover bid? Surely that would come without the fanfare of a placement?
The City Code is issued and administered by the Takeover Panel. The Company is subject to the City Code and therefore its Shareholders are entitled to the protections afforded by the City Code. Shareholders should be aware that, under Rule 9 of the City Code: (i) any person (together with any persons acting in concert with him) who acquires 30 per cent. or more of the voting rights attached to the issued share capital of the Company; or (ii) any person (together with any persons acting in concert with him) who has an interest in shares of not less than 30 per cent. but does not hold more than 50 per cent. of the voting rights attached to the issued share capital of the Company and who acquires an interest in any other shares which increases the percentage of the shares in which the person has an interest, may, pursuant to Rule 9.1 of the City Code, be required by the Takeover Panel to make an offer for the shares in the Company not owned or controlled by him at that time. Such an offer made pursuant to Rule 9.1 of the City Code, must be made in cash, at the highest price paid by such person (or any persons acting in concert with him) for shares in the Company within the preceding 12 months, to the holders of any class of equity share capital whether voting or non-voting and also to the holders of any other class of transferable securities carrying voting rights. Invesco, Woodford and Touchstone Innovations must of had information on who was buying what shares. If one them increased their holdings it's like they would have been forced to make cash bid for all the remaining shares. I find it hard to believe that when buying shares in a placing of 75,757,576 which is 35.47 per cent of the enlarged share capital these companies got so close their limit before the takeover panel would have got involved.
As at 4 April 2017, being the last practicable date prior to the date of this announcement, Invesco, Woodford and Touchstone Innovations held 26.24 per cent., 23.05 per cent. and 19.67 per cent. of the voting rights attached to the issued share capital of the Company respectively. On completion of the Placing, the percentage shareholdings of Invesco, Woodford and Touchstone Innovations will be 25.83 per cent., 23.04 per cent. and 16.86 per cent. respectively of shares carrying voting rights attached to the issued share capital, as enlarged by the issue of the Placing Shares. It will be interesting to see who the new investors are.
http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail/ABZA/13185076.html That was quick. I guess it was race to get the shares to ensure they are in pole position for a future takeover bid.
