Sorry guys, I should have explained properly. I was referring to the link that someone posted below to telegram. I clicked on it and it took me to another Zoetic group on telegram with just 4 subscribers...hence my question. Apologies for the confusion.
Thanks
Craigy - most of us are happy investors too.
The Telegram group is great and some really great bits of info get posted, but if we moved over there and stopped posting on here, this B.B. wouldn’t be balanced and people may make choices based on a single point of view.
Zpzp - I do know people who watch this B.B. but are not part of the Telegram group. So sometimes it’s useful to post things on this B.B. for others too.
Just my 2 pence worth FWIW
What is this group for?
We already have one on telegram!
Keepdreaming and Craigy.
No worries. Lets end it there. Nothing posted here will change anything. Good Luck to us ALL.
Vas - Thank you for giving some good useful help and advice to Craigy the other day, much respect.
This exchange though has clearly touched a raw nerve. I do try not to get emotional particularly with shares, so I will say goodnight and good luck with your investment choices.
Why would I expect a security blanket from you in particular , hold your hand and ill likely drown immediately. It won't happen over night, you say wisely......well that was a rare treat..............and again, I know what is around the corner ? That is idiocy. I know the score, that why i don't listen to idiots who just say we all know whats around the corner...as if its a fact.
Keep Dreaming is apt, and says it all sadly for you.
Vas - Wow, so what. It’s not just about a replacement menthol smoke. This industry is going to be huge, that’s what all the analysts are saying.
I would suggest that rather than looking to invest in a new upcoming industry like CBD, you may want to stick to a FTSE100 tracker fund, it sounds a bit more akin to your level of investment risk.
No advice intended or offered or course.
Have a read of this . Its regarding the US and the quote below is regarding Canada, who have already introduce a menthol fag ban.
"Recent research published in the BMJ found that 21.5% of menthol smokers surveyed two years after the Canadian ban had quit smoking, though 59.1% switched to non-menthol cigarettes and another 19.5% smoked menthols sold by First Nation tribes. "
So in Canada 60% found another brans to smoke, and 20% went to indigenous people and bough on black market probably.
In Europe there could be a similar market for people who want Menthol at all costs, and the health benefits should be a plus.
As always i'm just not sure how Zoe are going to market themselves in UK and Europe as far as the only menthol smoke is concerned......but don't think that Europe is a lesser market as far as menthol smokes is concerned.
https://www.statnews.com/2021/04/29/fda-says-it-will-ban-all-menthol-cigarettes-and-flavored-cigars/
Vas- All this will not happen overnight, you know this. Are you looking for someone to wrap you up in a security blanket?
You know this company has made a huge turnaround in less than a year and you also know what is around the corner. We can’t do all your research or hold your hand all the time.
Keepdreaming.
If the US market is a year away before the ban. Then the UK and Europe market is now ripe as the ban has already taken place. You accuse me of de ramping when i'm saying that Europe is a Menthol waste land ( except for vape).
Who has a menthol smoke being launched very soon ? How many people in Europe smoked Menthol? How many would chose a menthol smoke today ?
Who is aiming to roll out in the UK, and across central and eastern Europe sometime soon hopefully?
US is a big market . Yes. Europe is a big market if your one of the few supplying a menthol smoke - which happens to be better for you.
You say i'm on the fence but really i'm just kicking the wheels..... I can see positives and negatives....life's not black or white and neither are company's. If i had to chose a side, i'm on my side and will make up my own mind.
It doesn't have to be like football where your either one side or the other.... if the share does well, we all do well.
Vas - when your original arguament was shot down, you then try to turn it around again. I try to see the good in most people, but you are seriously taking the biscuit.
So what if the USA takes another year, what tobacco free, nicotine free THC free alternative replacement will have gained more market traction and share by that point.
Seriously come on, name a side and get down of the fence.
JJ - beat me to it.
Vas if you are going to try to deramp, at least try to do it about the same thing. You say tom-a-toes and I say tom-ate-oes.
Yes, but may take years to come into effect in the USA.. The UK has already banned menthol, and Zoe are due to release a menthol smoke here.
Methol Cigarettes are yet to be banned in the US, and that is where the market is!

The ban on all menthol fags started on 20th May 2020, nearly a year ago - so Zoes Menthol smoke should attract a lot of interest in those smokers who have not discovered a replacement in another brand during this time, and who wish to switch back to a menthol flavoured smoke, the fact that its nicotine free is another market entirely, I would assume.
People i talk to who are ex smokers and whom now vape, chose vaping as the next nearest thing to smoking but vaping never really replaced that feeling of holding a lit smoke, etc etc if only the Zoe smokes can take some of the vape market (old and new), with a more realistic smoke.
Does anyone know why Zoe can't market their smokes as a smoking alternative / smoking cessation product along the lines of patches etc as even patches have harmful nicotine....and the whole idea of patches, gums etc etc is that in 12 or 30 weeks the smoker comes off the nicotine......Zoe smokes do not have any nicotine or tobacco from day one, so surely a tobacco / nicotine free smoke is a good alternative for many smokers trying to quite nicotine.
Menthol ban is key as gallini says.
“Sorry sir, we don’t stock Marlboro Menthol anymore, but would you like to try these Chill smokes that many of our customers are happy with...?”
I’m looking for £20 plus for this share. If we get there before we’re taken out that is...
Join the dots. Tick tock and all that!
39.5m don’t sell it short. Leave that to the filtered ones!
Absolutely Gallini. Read somewhere that there are 39 million menthol cigarette smokers that will be looking for a replacement.
Stores will also be looking ahead to replace revenue lost from the inevitable menthol ban. Tick tock
CM - no probs pal, fair point made by JG, and you elaborated further.
Beat not best F@@king auto correct!
KD, best me too it so apologies for plagiarising you!
Toblerone, totally agree. As popularity of products picks up the stores will be begging to stock them.
Don’t forget that they are also aiming at high footfall areas first as part of the strategic roll out. So stores on low population areas/states will probably come later. No point calling smallville, Wyoming or Montana as low pop density so won’t be looking at distributing to these stores in the initial roll out.
BB2 - As JG recently posted on Telegram, the company is targeting high foot fall stores first.
Additionally, Why do you think telling us about other CBD brands is anything new. Have you not listened to the John Story podcast, especially the bit when he mentions other brands and the testing thereof.
