Safety, I agree 100% with that.
Just about every country is running around fire fighting. I have no medical knowledge but wonder if, in the long term Humanity would be better off to let it burn it's self out? bwtfdik
av a goodun and keep safe
Dreaming, Personally I would prefer Jeremy Hunt to be in charge at this time, he has medical training and thinks things through. Instead all the top guys Boris, Han****, gove etc are not up to much in my opinion. Sure they were better than the labour front bench for the most part, but so was my dog.
And bojo the clown only has mild symptoms
Yes safetyman. I can imaging getting a break from the family would help!
Thank you sis xx
HBob I meant wrong about your daughter having to wait so long for her test when BJ gets his straight away . Hope she gets better soon . Thinking of you all
I'm truly blessed to have the allotment, and to be busy on it and in the potting shed and greenhouses. Me and mrs bob rub along really well and that's a plus also.. I'm also lucky that I've a god of some sort in my life, or spiritual pastime if you like to keep my crazy mind at peace..
My thoughts keep drifting to the many homeless, the thousands with addiction issues, all of them our collective children. The closed soup kitchens.
The food kitchens in hartlepool are cleaned out..
These are times when I know just how fortunate I am , I wish my own health would let us do more..
Delighted to see thousands of my fellow hartlepuddians stepping up to help in this supply chain of care and love..
I hope its source burns bright and long.
Hbob that's so wrong . My son just sent me a video as he lived in China 2 years it shows riots today and in Shanghai this is happening

Four days for our nurse daughter to get her results.. 5 hours for Johnson..
We're all in this together....
Thechaser ,apols my friend
Indeed safety, ive a promenade/beach to walk on so lucky i guess in these difficult times
Indeed Safety. Just off for me daily run around the deserted streets of Rochford and Ashington. Keeps me sane. there are many less fortunate, I tell myself as my 16 yr old daughter has another meltdown about the screen on her phone not working properly!
Kev, we are lucky to have a garden and a bit of green etc. My daughter is locked down in a studio flat in Spain, it’s harsh for her; but even worse for families with children or the couples she can hear arguing at an increasing rate. So beside the Covid19 itself there is a lot of psychological harm happening, particularly those who may have a condition.
With our chaps at La Parilla it might well be a very good thing that they can work, especially if they live in apartments as so many do. Although it’s crass, it is a fact that our mine provides, for some, solace in these troubled times.
In the meantime those of us with our little bit of fresh air ( it is notably fresher at this time) are very fortunate. To do garden things is more of a joy then ever.
Hopefully, treatments and other things enable some return to normality to allow people to get out etc.
Yes Bob, I had to move a new tenant in today, but I didn’t get closer that 3m. I’ve recently lost two Moldovans, two Italians, two Portuguese, two Hungarians and a Spanish. Even with that loss, I was not happy about going out, but the guy works in care homes and needed a place to live.
I’ve got loads to do in the garden. I got the last delivery of compost and farmyard manure before the garden centre closed down. I also have a Grainfather brewing system arriving on Monday, with a load of malt. I’m well set up now.
I can’t imagine being locked down on the 9th floor somewhere in London.
Growing veg is a lifesaver.
You still self isolating kev
I'm with you on this Kev old son

“ The point is we are being lectured from on high about how if we amend our behaviour we can stay safe.. that's either a lie or the preachers ain't practicing.”
That’s how lecturing works. Nothing wrong with listening to our peers, but our peers do not get to broadcast on the BBC. That is the province of those “on high”.
I have no reason to doubt the hand washing, distancing and isolation advice. I do not think they are lying and, apart from sitting too close in the HoC, I trust they were practicing. Obviously, they failed, but I think the advice they gave makes sense.
“The policy is still herd immunity and to let the old and vulnerable die before their time.. “
What is your alternative? Just out of interest.
My most recent mother-in-law would certainly have been downed by COVID19. She was shuffled back and forth between her nursing home and hospital on a monthly basis for about three years. She only really worried when the water under her bed was starting to reach the mattress, or when people she didn’t recognise got off the train in the top corner of her bedroom. She got those last three years because she could pay for them. On the NHS, she would not have lasted. If I can go “before my time” and avoid being kept alive and fleeced, I will.
“No pipe
No respirators
No testing kit
No testing regime. “
Check Italy, France,, Spain and the US. The only country that was prepared for this was South Korea, because of their very nasty experience with SARS.
I hope your daughter gets back to full health.
Safety
I thought that was a biscuit ??
At the moment no. But my post wasn't political.

I nominate a committee led by Billy bunter... and one famous cartoon character from each of the comics most of us grew up with.
My daughter , a front line nurse is cabined up with our grandchildren awaiting results of her test this morning..
She had to drive to hospital to get tested with all the symptoms in full flow..
She is now back in the attic room ..
Bob, I know where your allegiances lie but is there any government on the planet you could really trust? So then, assuming your answer to be no, who would you have to lead the country and who would be in their cabinet, also what party? Will be very interesting to know who'd you pick.
That’s governments for you hbob. Last decent politician; Garibaldi.
I've had enough of the lying and patronising platitudes given out by this bullsiht government..
Non one branch of the media or opposition seem capable of getting the truth out here..
Johnson is a utter buffoon.
Indeed dreamy, my mate’s wife works as a manager at a Sainsburys; she is getting loads of abuse, works hard and actually sees herself as doing something vety important at the moment and do gets into work with a sense of urgency. She is very strict I. The rationing with people and had banned 30 so far, when they threaten etc. She is one of a number of people we absolutely rely on. And she gets lots of exposure....
Expressing their gratitude and admiration for all those in the NHS but I would also like to take a moment to thank all others who are carrying on working in areas which require interactions with others, be them delivery drivers for everything from amazon to pizza, to the shop workers and all others in between. There are so many people who everyday have to assume the risks we all avoid if we stay at home, the vast majority on low pay.
