Yes it will be so they have a body ofbl accurate sales data / benchmarks using different vehilcles in a range of different climatic conditions.
4 months seems like a fair trial. With the data it would be clear to see a good average for energy production and fuel savings over that period converted to an annual figure.
I like the reiteration of the point that they expect to supply 4000 vehicles with solar in the near future.
Justifies a holiday then!
Free bottle of lemonade for the first one to spot one.
The trials are taking place in the Netherlands so depends on your eyesight too!
Be nice to spot one on the road, but difficult to see from a car.
Sophie 1, Bananma thank you (it was a lot of bed time reading actually!). But it meant I was confident to buy in at 3p. My ears pricked up when I heard the Harris video. The 4 month trial started in June and is for certification purposes so it suggests a deal would be announced around October time, or maybe sooner. The solar on top tech already works so it looks like a strong contender for orders.
Feeks
Fantastic bit of work. Shows what a little bedtime reading and digging can unearth.
Huge huge potential now
Feeks, great link between IM efficiency and VDTK.
Sounds like there could be an outcome to this trial very shortly and a possible order for 5kw x 4000 trucks.
That would certainly fill the factory and phase 1 complete.
Now have a look at Verditek's Business Update 27th April 2020:-
"We have signed an agreement for a paid-trial with IM Efficiency, an innovative technology company focused on decreasing emissions in conventional transport trucks and semi-trailers ( https://imefficiency.com/ ). Based in the Netherlands, IM Efficiency have developed their SolarOnTop product range that is proven to lower fuel consumption and bring sustainable energy for heavy goods vehicles. Verditek and IM Efficiency have agreed to trial our lightweight low profile PV technology to further improve the performance of their products and reduce an already compelling pay-back period of less than 3 years."
Spooky !!!

Now have a listen to what Paul Harris says at 4:53 to 5:02 of the video. Spooky!!
Feeks, I can't see anywhere that it says using VDTK panels. Can you point me in the right direction ?
Cheers....

Thanks Feeks - do you have a link?
Im Efficiency say they are going to be supplying 4,000 trucks to Benelux countries soon. All ftted with "Solar on Top" which they have been 'final' road testing with several lorry fleets using Verditek panels. That's 20MW capacity. Spooky, eh!
Thanks Feeks,
I’ve been reading everything here too. Some excellent posts here from yourself.
