Thanks C7, Im sure tube is a train, last time I road on one it was ****e interest and hence my comments?
no issue at all.
I thought "just curious " would make that clear!
why so touchy?
keeptofacts, well you have to get to Liverpool Street first. Why is that an issue??
just curious why is this? "he has to catch multiple trains to return to Colchester."
mainline services to Norwich stop (first stop) at Colchester. it's 50 minutes on 1 train.
Exactly RB, wait and hear what they have to say, I know meeting went on quite a while and it will take a while to compile it into a BB message, and he has to catch multiple trains to return to Colchester. So a little patience and less, guessing might be helpful...
Yes we are all annoyed (indeed very pee'd off) but, we need to wait for facts before be jump to conclusions, unless of course you are shorting ?
IMO
All guess work, wait and see what occurs and take what Freddie and others who attended the GM propose/know.
'I would not write off the Compounds yet'
I don't think anyone is but if you give BOD the the perfect chance to allow VAL PLC to fall into administration you allow them to be involved in determining who owns the Compounds and if these compounds turn out to be winners then the ex PI's, those who may have just voted VAL into history, will not share in the profits, if any, profits indirectly generated from there investments.
'You cannot continue funding this sort of work the way they have done without ever selling a product on for commercial development'
Yes you can. 1) Raise funds through broker and issue share for those funds. 2) ensure news drips out through twitter RNS rumours and so on so that PI's are tempted to buy the issued shares in the secondhand market. 3) keep them hooked with promises of jam tomorrow. 4) rinse and repeat. 5) when this has been done to death and the share price has dropped to the point where you can't raise further capital, consolidate the shares. 6) Keep issuing shares, keep dripping out positive RNS news, hooked PI's average down' new ones join in convinced they have entered at the right stage. 7) finally threaten to bring the whole thing down if they cannot raise more money. 8) when that stops working, pre pack in place in the background ready to cast PI's adrift. 9) form new company which buys the assets at fire sale price. 10) Directors get employed by the new company.
Obviously this is a hypothetical scenario and I am not suggesting VAL did or are doing any of the above but it is a way that companies can keep working without ever delivering a return on capital employed or ever producing a single product. All it takes are will investors who are prepared to buy up placement shares once they are ranking pari passu with existing shares in the market
AIMHO and DYOR
I would not write off the Compounds yet, nor the disappearance of ip's... I would ask for Calm and Patience, for just a little longer and wait for those, who are not complicit with this situation, to hopefully, come up with a statement, to perhaps answer many of the questions being posted... all imo
Well done to all those who voted again the share restructure. If this achieves anything it is a kick up the Boards ar*e and you should feel some satisfaction that the smug and arrogant attitude of certain members of the Board has been at least dented. If and when this folds, and it probably will the Board members will no longer have the pedigree that they would wish. The stigma of being heavily involved in a failed company will stick. I dare say a new company will be formed to try and continue but with such a track record it will be game over for the likes of this lot. You cannot continue funding this sort of work the way they have done without ever selling a product on for commercial development. The business model has not worked in that respect but has provided those employed with a comfortable lifestyle for many years. I am sorry that this company seemed to offered so much but delivered little for all those that believed.
