Just had a communique from Ebay.
I thought I'd paid 66p commission on £11 sell, quite good!
But they have sent me my end of month statement showing I owe them 10% i.e. £1.10 in commission.
So the 66p was for a postage charge on a label I was unable to use!
Good job I did a TG and made my first sell a low priced one.
It explains why the PO cancelled the excess charge of £1.50 and delivered the memory with no excess charge. I'd paid twice for the same delivery!
Thank you Appi, I followed your instructions , have been paid and the item is in the post!
Ebay server was down, but correctly said it was at their end and not mine, which I doubted until it came good.
Buyer is pleased , I am pleased , and all those green filters I am being spared is even better.
cheers
Mr Smith, Carry on up the Kyber mate. You are uniquely strange, stupid and stroppy all in one.
And sorry mate, you really are obsessed with me since you can’t stop referencing me. And eBay drivel. And poppy walks. And IG and spread and an endless array of equally endless irrelevant drivel !
Which bit of Please stop posting all the non-Tlou drivel are you finding difficult to understand?
Mr Smith, if you are going to use my name as an alter-ego for AN Other, please get your spelling right.
And no... mrmoagi is probably not trying to make you look stupid. You're doing a fantastic job of that yourself.
Btw... think about using Twitter for your irrelevant off-topic posts?
Don't really want to drag the board into the details of eBay listings Brad but if you are happy with their offer, terminate the new listing and use the process in the link
Second chance offer https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/listings/selling-auctions/making-second-chance-offers?id=4142
Many thanks Appi, I could not find how to do that, so I have relisted for another 7 days and added a £1 for postage, the goodwill feeling has gone. If the under-bidder returns can I accept his bid immediately because that would be fair? He bid from £8 up to £11 but the time-waster offered £11.50 Both of them are also sellers so I never expected to be messed around!
He'd have got it for £8 without the competition. "Buy it now" for him and only him in effect?
I haven't sold stuff on eBay for a while Brad but that sort of thing wasn't unusual. I used to just offer the item to the underbidder.
Rubbish Whizzer, you clearly care. You have as little imagination as Donk. It was addressed to DTE, one of the thinkers on here, but I did not enter his initials having read Donk's latest message, by mistake! I keep getting notifications of 1 or more messages arriving on here, refresh shows none, I log out to read them and often there really is none! But of course the filtered greens appear making it bad news all round.
Donk you are definitely on the other side you plonker. You has so many out of body experiences e.g. mrmoagi referring to this other alter egos Donk, and Old Bailllie etc and vice versa.
Who do you think you are fooling? Enjoy your reign as supremo on ADVFN, they cannot stand you either! Why on earth have you paid to get your name in blue over there? Madness!
You spent the subscription you saved on buying a few hundred TLOU shares no doubt, so I'm expecting you to sell them again at yet another loss!
Try and stop quoting our board over there will you? It is you who is obsessed with trying to make me look stupid, and all you do is confirm to us all just how stupid you are!
No one cares about eBay on this tlou discussion board Brad!
Stop with your off topic rambling please!
A great start on Ebay - buyer has cancelled because she realised after winning the auction that the item was unsuitable for her laptop. How typical is this?
Many thanks DTE, Ebay have confirmed what you say and told me she has not paid yet, no worries after an hour or two.
They'll remind her within 48 hrs if needed and provided a check list (includes print name and address label :O) ) - so they are looking after me well.
Final word on the next subject ....
Just looked up advfn to see what Mopanetree said that was so inspiring, and could not believe what I saw!
Donk is posting there again, cheerio from here we hope, and he has only paid for premier status or whatever they call it!
You'll all see how you can get obsessed with his rubbish and feel obliged to shoot him down. He has never realised I simply read everything TLOU publish, looking for the irregularities I have experienced with my failed shares. The only bits that caused me any concern had mitigating circumstances that nobody foresaw.
In his posts to Advfn, Donk refers to "pre-drilling tosh" and supposes they failed to drill in the optimum spot!
We should all know, and most LTHs do I am sure, that where they drilled was waterlogged and that water has taken ages to dewater (a mitigating fact for me)! BUT we know that lots of water is a great indicator of lots of gas to come! Like most TLOU issues they are very well explained by the company in everyday language - only a fool would not comprehend the issues.
The other issues, were the Govt screw up on the RFP which needed both preferred bidders to re-apply - no fault on either of them , and Covid - the same!!!! All 3 issues cost the project time - and most criticism on here relates to that! Only Donk accused our board of lying - in my book abhorrent behaviour from an idiot. I hope his credibility is shot on both boards by now - rip Kenner, mrmoagi,oldbailllie,donkey40 and bucklerfern!!
Mopanetree took my post on here about our gas being wet (dewatering?) seriously, despite the smiley , - more evidence of comprehension problems - with this post ...... mindblowing that it received acclaim as being knowledgeable ?? .....

MOAGI'S link contains this sentence ...... "The Orapa Facility is capable of running on natural gas fuel. Gas fuel should be what is known in industry as dry gas."
If we get the contract it will be called wet gas I reckon :O)
Cannot believe they refer to Gas Turbines in that link. I have stayed away from that expression for years!"
prompted this reply,
"Why on earth would it be called wet gas? Wet gas refers to natural gas with higher end hydrocarbons such as ethane, propane, butane, etc., none of which are present in appreciable quantities in CBM gas in Botswana.
The Orapa tender is geared towards Karoo Sustainable Energy, a group that has run the power station for several years. "
Should have known it would have been something contradictory I guess.
It's always a good idea Brad to post the item after you've been paid!
I have my first Ebay sell due in 2 hours.
Item is sold with 5 bids already in the can, and I have not heard anything yet from Ebay.
Do I wait to see if the money is in my account before posting , or will Ebay supply me with that information?
