Nice, i've not seen him for years, how is he keeping ?
Next time you play, tell him Simon, Carol's son sends his regards.
I'm north of the river so play mostly at Matfen Hall , or close to home at Gosforth.
Small world this LSE chat.
Old apache. That's wonderful. How are his knees these days?
Billy Hughes's (RIP) great nephew mended my Sky dish just before Billy died a few months ago. He sent him a photo on his phone of my framed photo and an old programme with him on the cover from 1971. Very emotional.
Consett. Vbw
Bob Stokoe picked him and David Young up from the Mags for peanuts. Genius from Stokoe. Would have made a great non-exec on the TILS board!
What, you play golf with Ron ?
This is getting really strange ! Where you play at ?
Not seen the medal since I was a kid, im not even sure if it's still in the family (hopefully it is ).
I was just talking to another uncle about him last week and he was telling me the story about how he ended up at Sunderland, something to do with Newcastle going back on a contract offer they had made him for something like £30 a week !!!
Fff, l play golf with Guthrie. Vbw
Wow.
My Uncle Oswald used to teach Micky Horswill at Annfield Plain - he kept in touch with him and he got the 73 cup squad to autograph an Echo team photo for me. Priceless, framed in my study.
Guthrie's goal v Luton in the QF was fab. What's his medal like?
great full back
I'll throw some other names later. got to go.
Have a good day from big Sam.
Hey Roker, you'll never guess who my uncle is ...
Ron Guthrie !!!
Saw him score at St James Park in a 4-1 win in 1979 so his lack of ability is forgiven. Gary Rowell got a hat-trick that day. Glorious. Apparently Rowell asked Kevn Arnott, who was brilliant, whether they should go for a fifth or take the *iss. They took the p***. Happy days.
I'm a small investor compared to most here.
But call me a duck egg, I've just bought some more.
Good luck Len Ashurst.
Switch off and ignore it
Yet another day of torment!
Its not worth selling or trading now its too close
Sorry Roker couldn't resist.

Post market fizzled out...up 8c. Yesterday short volume was 55000 with total volume 267000
Careful the aftermarket rise is on 3,000 share volume.
Looking at the after-hours order book best is Bid $2.95 Ask $3.40 from ARCA
Was your Charlie Hurley sign off a reference to one of my childhood heroes - the Roker centre half from the late fifties and sixties?
be careful they could be dangling a carrot.
Wow
