and we are delighted to be one of the first IoT security companies to add this FDO standard to our KeyScaler platform,” said Darron Antill, CEO of Device Authority.
ONE OF THE FIRST IOT SECURITY COMPANIES TO ADD THIS FDO STANDARD TO OUR KEYSCALER PLATFORM, seems pretty clear cut to me
London, UK, and San Ramon, California, USA – Device Authority, a global leader in identity and access management (IAM) for the Internet of Things (IoT), today announces it has integrated FIDO device onboarding (FDO) into the KeyScalerÒ platform.
Device onboarding is the process of installing secrets and configuration data into a device, so it can connect and interact securely with an IoT platform. It typically takes 20 minutes to manually onboard a device (gateway or a sensor), thus manual onboarding does not scale for IoT. There are other friction points such as high costs, the need for additional resources and a trusted installer. The FDO standard solves all these challenges by bringing in simplicity, flexibility, and security to IoT device onboarding. The new protocol brings a balance between user convenience and security to foster IoT deployments at a scale.
Device Authority’s KeyScaler platform is the first IoT IAM solution to address the complex end-to-end challenges of IoT security lifecycle management. KeyScaler now has support for the FDO standard within the platform, that allows devices to securely enroll themselves and be provisioned with the security assets required. Current and future customers will be able to leverage FDO in their IoT projects when deploying KeyScaler. FDO delivers maximum value for Industrial and Enterprise devices such as gateways, servers, sensors, actuators, control systems, medical devices, etc. It enables multi-ecosystem applications and services as it is not tied to a specific cloud/platform framework.
Integrating FIDO FDO with KeyScaler for secure device onboarding brings a standardized approach to phase one in a device’s lifecycle. There are several phases beyond the initial onboarding, where KeyScaler can also bring significant additional benefit for IoT use cases. Whether that’s credential management (renewal and revocation), end-to-end data crypto, secure update management, Edge based security operations (for local private networks), HSM Access Control and IoT SBOM compliance (Biden’s Executive Order). Ultimately this is solving the fundamental Security Lifecycle Management challenges of today’s IoT for any IoT application.
“It’s been an exciting time to engage with the FIDO working group as they adopted the previous Intel SDO program and are now driving this as a standard, FIDO FDO, into the market. Our team has worked closely with FIDO and the contributing ecosystem partners, and we are delighted to be one of the first IoT security companies to add this FDO standard to our KeyScaler platform,” said Darron Antill, CEO of Device Authority.
“Device Authority’s KeyScaler technology forms the basis for a complete and secure device management system. It combines IAM with support for the FDO secure onboarding solution, thereby providing end users with a basis for establishing trust in IoT products throughout their lifetime,” said Giri Mandyam, Qualcomm Inc. and Co-chair of FIDO IoTWG.
Oh the Irony.
Still Waiting, the Prima Donna of the Still Ramping thread over on ADVFN, bans Sweepie from his thread and ends up chasing after Sweepie on the LSE thread to carry on ramping.
BTW, as is often mentioned to Still Ramping on the ADVFN thread DA have no hold in terms of patents over FIDO because FIDO is an open standard that specifically requires wavers on IP subject to incorporation in the associated standard.
Thanks for taking the time to drop in and spread your misinformation. Now you have been called for it go crawl back up your hole.
If AS can’t get a unicorn value when an investee is one of the first to comply with global recommended standard for iot and patented as well then sadly it’s time for him to move aside and let the big boys achieve the value. Let’s not even mention Wyld and it’s global partners !!
Just maybe this is what Tern have been waiting for to start the OTC listing as IF we have secured the IOT security standard then this could well be a rocket from the list price which would be the price over here. Can't get excitied as we have been here before only to be disappointed at Tern not capitalising on the news BUT this time it might be different
The FIDO Alliance
@FIDOAlliance
Really great news!

OMB’s’s finalized Zero Trust Strategy now requires agencies to use phishing-resistant MFA (not just any MFA) and they highlight FIDO Authentication as a quality option to ensure user security. https://fidoalliance.org/media-alert-the-fido-alliance-endorses-the-office-of-management-and-budgets-finalized-zero-trust-strategy/ #security #authentication #MFA
