No sleep ever lost Myo. Like previously stated I have plenty of skin in this share and I want nothing but for it to be a success. Time will tell if I was right to place faith behind frasers wheels
There's such a thing as structural integrity - that's what they made the tunner wider.
I live in a cottage close to the mine and i'm sure i have just seen Arthur Scargill pass by my living room window in a tank - it all bodes well...
Jim being classed as a basher for posting a different view? Is that fair? I wasn’t aware my opinions had to concur with anybody else. For the record I respect myo for his input to the board, his knowledge and sources of info are more often then not welcomed. I’m well aware of the order book also but for the record the order book on future demand counts for nothing if the mine doesn’t come to fruition or a takeover occurs by which current shareholders of SXX are wiped out. But this is all common sense and I don’t need to be staying the obvious here.I’m not What I’m disputing is the lack of credibility Sirius has shown in the form of PR to shore up and balance the scales against a heavy weighted bearish outlook. The extent of the damage is being shown in the SP and every week that passes our position as a company weakens and yet still nothing from our PR department.
On integrity, I have learnt one thing. That is the word and definition itself was made up by a person with none into confusing others into believing he had some. You won’t find any of that on these p¡§§ poor forums I’m sure.
ATB LTH.
Myo your 11:50 well said, tried to recommend but “thumb” not working.
As a rule I never buy The Mail ( IMO its a rubbish red top at best ) but I did on this occasion to read Ms Washtells article, which, especially given the hospitality she was given and clearly abused sets a new low for the publication - and that takes some doing.
Go on Ms washtell do the honourable thing......you're obviously impressed by the engineering that has been achieved so far,.
Myo do you honestly think this woman understands any of the engineering ?? Me thinks your are giving her credit she is not worthy of, she is at the end of the day a second rate journalist, and probably did not even appreciate the hospitality, CfF should really know better than to speak to an idiot like her, daily mail as well. I dismay at this issue.
Regards.
thiops / I don`t think you are being fair to Myo , you say a disruptive product , the company has a full order book for Christ sake , the reason was the start of the dip 14 months ago was the change from the govt guarantee , the company has never stopped in building the mine , now if the company can get the funds for the tunnel and shaft the risks would have gone .
Myo just because I have slightly different views to you, does not make me a basher. I have plenty of burnt skin in this game so there is nothing I want more then for this to succeed but look at the companies defence in the last 6 months and ask yourself why? For a multi billion pound project with a “disruptive product” ask why we find ourselves at a 3p sp and a >300Mcap. Everything for the last 14 months has been bearish to say the least and I’m questioning Sirius PR motive. It’s a vital part of staying alive and keeping positive momentum. This is a world class project, I do want it to succeed under Sirius. But for that to happen changes need to be made. I can’t help but feel the market wants it to fail and because of that, I do agree with other posters with regards to how many mechanisms and variables are at play here. But the actions from the board speak volumes and presently without anything to stop the rot, we see our value deteriorate.
Skier1 , i think you have been quoting about yourself , looks like you are the one in a basement in sweat pants , you are making a fool of yourself on this bb , everyone knows SXX has dipped , but the way you are ranting you haven`t a clue what SXX has done , for one just looking at your post , you quote failed tunnel , the tunnel is getting built twice as fast than the company first ever quoted and they tend to go even faster , you need to change your sweat pants boy .
lol to you skier - it’s easy to knock people behind a keyboard - we can all do that - it’s only typing words - have you ever been on a trade visit to China with the Prime Minister as CEO of your company? I recon you’ve got a big chip on your shoulder.
But he's right isn't he, you brown nosed lackey. And CF was right the other week when he said people like you should not have put all your pension money into this caper as they were never confident of raising the funds. So you've either got to work longer to make up for it or, the only help from the government you'll certainly get is a guaranteed pension credit. Now get back to work on the assembly line!
Grabbing ~£1m a year from shareholders' pockets,
—
How much? :-)
Show the money please Skier1.
You are quite desperate arent you skier1. How sad.i hope you soon recover
Lol.
Absolutely amazed that anyone still sticks up for the CEO!
The guy is a walking disaster.
Grabbing ~£1m a year from shareholders' pockets, while the following happens:
* Shareprice collapses over -90%.
* Failed tunnel
* Failed funding
* Failed government backing
* Workers losing jobs
* We're going private
* Err, we're not going private
And consider this quote (in The Times) from the CEO a few weeks ago -- "They [bulletin boards] have these people sitting in their basements in their sweatpants, giving them investment advice — unregulated, unlicensed — and people follow them.”
The guy gets rich beyond his wildest dreams, while smashing the firm and sneering at its owners.
And, still, people stick up for him!
Forseti and rightly so. He is the CEO of the company and thus accountable and can only be judged in my eyes on current performance which let’s face it has been nothing but a shambles. I have no doubt that construction is progressing well, that’s clear for everyone to see. But I stand by my previous post in that his credentials in finance will now be tested. His back ground counts for nothing unless he can pull through for his current project
Just thought I'd back him as he seems to be getting it in the neck from all angles currently.
amazing what you can find on Wikipedia.
He has a bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Western Australia.[3]
Fraser worked in banking, particularly mining finance, with Rothschild, KPMG and Citigroup, rising to managing director in 2008.[4] He has been the CEO of Sirius Minerals since January 2011.[3]
These last 6 months or so have been nothin but bizarre. Fraser is not stupid, he should know better then to speak to the press. For me alarm bells started ringing with the RNS regarding the postponement of the bond. I understand why this happened and the potential to delay the bond offering until market conditions improved but it’s just how the RNS was worded. It was cold and with no effort or thought. It doesn’t take a genius to understand how the market reacts to that type of RNS. Since then it’s been a slide of bearish articles followed by a rapid drop in SP. Sirius PR department? Do they exist? No defence or articles to combat any doubt. Fraser has plenty of skin to lose in this game but the board need to hold him to account. His credentials in finance will now be tested.
