Back in March i missed out on adding with TATE - just too many bargains at the time and I couldn't be everywhere.
Said to myself i'd pick up more TATE if it drifted down to £6.00. Got some in the low teens so happy.
I thought you might have a nibble at EMG when it was sitting at 1.28 this morning, that one serves you well.
I only trade STOB on blue days, by the time the market moved this afternoon i was in chill mode for the weekend.
Hopefully some made some money here today.
G
I thought you would have picked up some STOB shares under 30p .
Hi Gerry ,
I did trade CRST , PST and EMG but nothing special. FTSE 100 put me off in the morning and i was bit late for the party. lol.
Hi Volcnao - yep a turnaround turned out nice in the end lol.
Did you trade, I picked up some more TATE, which is doing well, also got back into SMDS, bit flat there.
G
Wow FTSE100 100 point turnaround from this morning.
Birddog - Agree, focus will be on freight, this Govt needs to increase the UK freight hubs.
The Thanet Way ( A299 ) was vastly improved in the late 90's it's mostly dual carriageway all the way to the M2 nowadays.
There may be limited passenger flights, but unlikely imv. Kent does have a population of circa 1.85m. Though won't most be using Gatwick ?
Not ideally suited for rail, it's 10 mins from Ramsgate railway station by taxi, and it's a journey of 2 hrs 10 mins from London Bridge.
KIV Southend Airport has it's own railway station on site - 53 mins from Liverpool Street and 43 mins Stratford Station.
Not sure how convenient Manston would be by car, they'd need to consider car parking and hotel development too.

This has got to be good news for employment in North Kent. They are talking about many jobs being created. I accept that there maybe some of the usual concerns from those living close by.
Also very positive news for the UK's regional airports, in that the owners are prepared to look long term and invest £300m over the coming 15 years.
Great that the the Department of Transport has approved the application despite the Examining Authority panel recommending to the Secretary of State that development consent should not be granted.
They aim to get it to stage one by the Spring of 2023, then are aiming for some 10,000 air cargo movements a year by its sixth year of operation ( 2029 ) which equates to 14 arrivals and 14 departures a day, around two flights an hour “during normal operating hours.”
Permission granted with the usual restrictions, included night time movements
Also a fillip to Southend Airport, should underpin its valuation over the longer term in that investment funds are still coming into the sector.
What price Southend ? Bear in mind STOB's mcap is presently only £184M.
G
Nothing short term I would think. It will take a year or so to get it operational. Amazon comes up the conversation surrounding Manston, which would make some sense as they would be able to get the bigger trans continental planes in there to link up with the short haul operation currently operating from Southend. Ultimately Amazon won't use Southend you'd think as it can't get the bigger planes in there. I can't see Manston threatening Southend beyond that though. It has no future as a passenger airport.
What does the Manston development mean for Southend airport?
