Thanks Gekko Jr, your kind thoughts much appreciated.
all the best

Seaton, much appreciated your kind get well wishes and good luck with your future investment strategy :)
Based on some of today’s posts I’ve decided to change my investment strategy in future.
Our lord JP is a few years younger than me and certainly a good few years younger than many others on here (except Mittytentoes who made £10m in his early 20’s)
In future I will only be investing in companies with a CEO at least my age and preferably older, that way they are incentivised to conclude transactions and raise the share price before they get too old to enjoy the spoils!
To Ian and all posters suffering poor health at the moment I wish you well. Health is more important than shares.
GLA
Andytr
Thank you for your good wishes
All the best
Ian
All the best Ian,
Hope you can get your health back in check
many of the old posters are still here posting negative b*llox, just using new names.
pathetic really.
the funny thing (pathetic really) is they'll still be doing it (here or elsewhere) after we get a decent sale price and the rest of us move on.
Thanks Pontcanna, wish you all the best.
If just one company believes in what we have and wants to pay for it then who knows what will happen. Time is ticking and at least Parsons can't hide behind the passing of time. Sooner rather than later he's gonna have to come clean as to what the situation is. I no longer trust him, which has been well documented on here in recent months. It's up to him to regain our trust, so the weight is firmly on his shoulders. He better be hoping that he doesn't let himself down or anybody else for that matter.
Enjoy your munchies, Chipbutty. I'm off for my 1hr power walk. Munchies later for me. Lost 4lbs since the weekend, which isn't that bad going.
Thanks JTF for your kind wishes, I consolidated most of my massive losses when I took my rose-tinted specks off, up
till that point I was a firm believer in what James spouted, but by that time, I was so underwater that I had to get most
of my shareholding sold so I had some cash left. I know we have value, we thought the horst was worth 58p which
underpinned my average of 56p then we are told no its only worth 23p, then all the failed drills, then the 31tcf may only be 4tcf, in the end who do you belive, all the best. Ian
Thanks Ian - hope you manage to feel better from your various ailments. I've got ailments too, which I won't go into but mainly caused from prolonged waiting around for things to happen here and for the fabled LE. OK so the diet hasn't been all that great too but death by spam is not a bad way to go when compared to death by Sound Energy.
Parsons needs to buck up his ideas fast and sort this mess out. I don't want to take this circus show into 2020 and I need to go and consult the sunshine and get on the first big bird outta here if and when I make any money from this debacle.
Hoi Chippy - how's you doin'? How's things up in Scotland today? Or are you doon in tha big smoke London way?
JTF
Andytr and JTF,
Wholeheartedly agree with both your recollection of past events that led us to over-invest on James hype, if only we had known that 99p was the top and sold then.....
'The difference is HUR CEO hasn't been making wild claims and promises...'
Another difference is that HUR is now a producer and heading for a ludicrously-low P/E ratio, quite apart from the fact it recently announced a successful drill.
Poor Mr Parsons feeling embarrassed. So much so that he increases his pain by repeating his pain with Echo and Coro. And now he moves onto Nuog. How can he do this to himself? I hope he will be appreciated. Inject dodgy assets discarded by others, pump up the share price and raise money on the back of naive investors( there will always be a queue) and pay it out to a world class team which surprisingly was stolen from right under the noses of the majors. Why wouldn't you cover your tracks if you want to rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, Te10 was a discovery, Te10 was a discovery, Te10 was a discovery, I'm not interested in the share price, I'm not interested in the share price, trading plan, trading plan, trading plan.
If anybody thinks we only have ourselves to blame then I disagree. We made our investment decisions mainly based on what Parsons et al were telling us to our faces over a long period of time. If you can't believe what a CEO says to you then who or what are you to believe? I don't make the rules, I am not party to the fine detail but when a CEO looks at me and in earnest tells me that he is going to leave a financial legacy for me and my family then I believed him. What I was unaware of up until recent times is that all along the guy had been winging it and was hitting and hoping he'd stumble across copious amount of gas. Well that hasn't happened despite their continued claims there is oodles of TCF's under our acreage. I hope he realises that he has upset, frustrated and left a lot of good, honest, hardworking people between a rock and a hard place - or in my case, a fritter and a chip shop. Cheers mate. And the irony of the situation is that should he deliver us a decent enough LE then the past would be fairly quickly erased because I like to judge people on their results and not hearsay. Simples....if he delivers us a decent result then fair play. His reputation would be restored and we can all move on from this feeling better about ourselves and our finances. I've learnt nothing from this experience other than to never ever believe anything a CEO tells you. In this case, doing your own research would have got you nowhere fast because throughout the process we were fed overinflated figures coupled with overinflated promises and egos. The only thing that has been overinflated has been the wages they have paid themselves as we have become poorer and angrier. The clock is ticking and we're fast approaching end of year. Let's see if Parsons can do one thing right and that is to get us a deal that will see us get our money back with some profit. Is that asking too much for years and years of being told about 31TCF and financial legacies, not to mention Bugatti Veyrons.
Well said Andy.
Agree totally JTF.
Our lord JP is guilty of being over zealous with his hype and I bet he is feeling embarrassed. As you say if he delivers an LE which matches his promise that 'no one will lose out at these levels' then I think he can rescue his reputation.
GLA
I think most of us bought shares here based on the claims of Parsons and the hyping that was going on for a long period of time with all of the various investor events. I believe Parsons was hoping we'd hit gas and was determined to keep investors sticky to the share. With the poor results we've had as of late, his plan has seemed to have backfired and left egg on his face. It was as if he said to B, you concentrate on finding me the gas and I'll concentrate on keeping the investors interested. Hence why we were all gouging on free beers, buffets and Haribos at posh venues such as The Gherkin and The Shard. The only thing that can save his reputation now is delivering us a successful LE, which I have defined as circa £1 per share. Only then will he be forgiven it seems. No pressure then!
I agree partly with what you say ktf-
I know buying shares is a gamble and you take this at your own risk however i feel that JP has stepped way out of line with his mega ramping of 10 bagger, golden tickets, 4 figures wont cut it, veyron zone, no one will lose out at these levels, many many multiples ect ect ect
I am currently down on HUR. I bought shares and they are worth less than i paid for them and i accept this. The difference is HUR CEO hasn't been making wild claims and promises
Crude is not to blame. Take your frustrations out on the incompetent SOU BOD. The squeaks that are coming out of them back then are the same squeaks that we hear as of late. There still exists so much uncertainty and we PI's have been kept out of the loop big time.
Crude is a glass half full type of man and he won't change. I realise that his uber positive attitude offends many on here, but you have to remember that he has already done well out of SOU and used some money to pay off his mortgage. Why would he be anything but elated every time he sees his loyal Master, Parsons? His tail is not going to stop wagging even if we have to go long because he'll always put a positive spin on things. That's Kirk. There are plenty of others on here that don't share his optimism or positivity, which is fair enough. We are all wired differently and have differing views. Deal with it.
Just watching the Crudehope video again reminds me how cagey and clueless the Sound BOD is. Broken promise after broken promise, JJ's pouting, gurning and chameleon eyes pointing in all directions. The BOD look as though they are waiting on death row. It was like a scene out of the film, Green Mile.
And Parsons' manner when Crude went up to him with the camera said it all for me. It was like he was thinking, you've interrupted me, can you leave me alone and let me continue my chat with SD. Embarrassing to say the least.
We're going long. End of. It's written all over JJ's face. Going long means one thing for them and that is more money in their pocket. Why would they do anything else? Parsons gets to crawl out of the back door whilst JJ becomes the new CEO and increases his wage. The conversations they were having back then are the very same conversations we are having today. What is the Plan B? Where is the GSA?
So not impressed even if hindsight is a wonderful thing.
JTF
I agree with much of what you've written, except this "If you want to blame someone for the mess at sound blame JP not crude"
it's time some people on this BB realised THEY are to blame if they've screwed up an investment / lost money.
looking for someone to blame? look in the mirror!
What is it with all the personal insults towards crude?
Give the man a break!
He went to the trouble of doing a video in Morocco to keep us investors in the loop and you are taking the p*ss!
He might have a very different opinion of JP to the rest of us which he freely admits but at least he sticks by his beliefs and has a glass half full attitude. He also doesn't hide behind different user names with hidden agendas like a lot of the very posters who give him stick
If you want to blame someone for the mess at sound blame JP not crude!
I am currently well under water and if i had a dartboard a pic of JPs smug little face would be on it!
Dear me, how the mighty have fallen. Is this what it's come to Exploration, joining in with the playground bullies?
I think this is the video in question;
