Using the pre-specified logistic regression analysis, SNG001 reduced the odds of developing severe disease or dying in the ITT population by 79% (OR 0·21; 95% CI: 0·04, 0·97; p=0·046). As quasi-complete separation of data occurred in some model covariates, an additional post-hoc, Firth logistic regression analysis was conducted. This showed there was a trend towards reduced odds of progression to severe disease or death in the ITT population (72% reduction; OR 0·28; 95% CI: 0·07, 1·08; p=0·064) that became significant in the per protocol population (82% reduction; OR 0.18; 95% CI: 0.04, 0.93; p=0.041).
IMHO even 20% is a good drug atm,
remdesivir did not improve overall survival,
and only reduced hospital stays to 10 days from 15 days.

Nothing in life is guaranteed, get a cash savings account if you want certainty. You do your own research and determine your personal level of confidence. I believe inhaled interferon is exceptional. In answer to the specific question about blood coagulation, (I will take it in good faith as a genuine discussion not a deramp), inhaled interferon is delivered directly where it’s needed in the lungs and bypasses the blood as a delivery system. This reduces the level in the blood by ten times and therefore reduces the known side effects of iv or injected interferon beta, while maintaining/increasing the positive effect. There has been a problem with injected interferon & blood coagulation & the concern is that with Covid also a cause of blood coagulation, then there may be a problem with inhaled Interferon.
This is why thorough trials are needed before a drug is given the green light.
Blood coagulation comes from the covid not the interferon, at least not inhaled interferon. SNG001 can treat the symptoms and stop the virus progressing to even get to that point.

Surely this is a major concern.
Hopefully you're right - early approval could save lives and secondary to that obviously be good for us shareholders.
Even if phase 3 isn't as successful as phase 2 (no reason why it shouldn't be, but just hypothetically speaking) even a 60,50, or 40% reduction in severe cases would be an amazing result and would surely be more than enough for approval.

I have to say given what we do know about the safety of interferon treatments in IV and from our trials, the pressure is going to become very great for this drug to be tried. The media is reporting that Notts hospital is filling a ward with Covid patients every day. In America they are heading for hundreds of thousands dead, potentially worse than the so called Spanish flu.
