the dove from above told me to do it.
Transit Uranus is currently roughly trine my natal Jupiter - a time of surprise good fortune. After winning 10,000zl on a beer promotion I decided it was time to find the AIM-sized miracle that my SIPP badly needs, so I went a-searchin' and Source led me to a couple of companies, this being one. Sorry to the "scientists" out there, but there are different paths to the same mountain-top.
Gerard’s experience, leading market tech, ethical, massive industry, multi faceted business model, embryo company rising from ashes, guaranteed end game... ££££ by CRO when Gerard’s done his stint... best company on Aim!
I first got into it as i read an article somewhere about it. After researching, helped by your good self, it was a no brainier for me. The welfare, environmental and breakthrough AI tech in play here is a game changer.
Coupled with a fantastic CEO who is aligned to us and we have the perfect storm of a great company, The SP will come in time, we literally haven't had any bad news for.. well i cant even remember, its all positive.
And thanks again to you Chris, you certainly have kept my spirits up through the sp doldrums, and i'm fairly sure i wont be the only one!
here's the to the future
I would be interested to hear from new and old posters on what made them invest in SKIN?
Morning Longlad, my understanding is that they have a first-mover advantage and a technologically unique selling point, as they are the first and only commercially available lab-grown, full thickness human skin model with entirely human collagen production for anti-ageing tests and can determine the impact of cosmetic and skincare products on the skins microbiome. You might think well why don't the competition just copy and catch up, well firstly Intugemens product has been in development for a long time, over 13 years now and you may have noticed but they industry already had a product to copy from the beginning, human skin. So it seems it is not as easy as it might appear. Integumen is way ahead of the competition and has surprised quite a few much much much larger companies. There are also other factors judging from the content on the website, such as available surface area etc but this is a side show. But the real technological breakthrough comes when you combine labskin, labskin AI, Rhinocloud etc and have a product such as Stoer which proves the it works.
I will be very surprised if a much larger company does not make an offer for the company in the next year or so. The advantage that Labskin gives a large pharmaceutical or cosmetic company is worth a lot in terms of time reduced and speed to market, the accuracy of tests and the zero animal testing.
As always though, these are my views and I encourage others to research before buying into any company, that way you are super confident in your own investments.
Chris
‘ It is the only lab-grown skin that does not have to be used in a sterile environment and therefor is capable of mimicking the skin's microbiome. There are no rival innovations that can do this which is why the large companies are very keen to talk to Integumen’
Why are there ’no rival innovations that can do this’? DoIntegumen simply have a first mover advantage, meaning competition can catch up or does the company have a technological USP?
Labskin is a laboratory-grown skin product that can be used by both pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies to test the products on a human skin equivalent.
It is the only lab-grown skin that does not have to be used in a sterile environment and therefor is capable of mimicking the skin's microbiome. There are no rival innovations that can do this which is why the large companies are very keen to talk to Integumen. Labskin allows pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies to test their products faster and more efficiently in real-world conditions without the need for animal testing. Therefore speeding up research and development times and reducing cost.
This is on its own would be a very attractive proposition but the company goes one step further as it combines physical testing with virtual or artificial intelligence. As proactive investors described it so well I will steal their description.
'With the help of artificial intelligence firm Rinocloud, which it bought in April, the Integumen is building Labskin-on-a-chip, which will record every treatment tested on the Labskin platform and store its effects in a database. That will give every dermatology clinic with a computer the ability to take a swab of a patient’s own skin bacteria, place it on the Labskin, run it against the database, and advise what the best course of treatment might be.
Then there’s Labskin AI, a digital extension to the lab-grown skin. Earlier this month (May 10) the firm announced the roll-out of a Labskin AI product designed to clone the skin of volunteers in clinical trials. The company said the new test would cut the number of volunteers required for trials by 50%, reducing recruitment times and project management costs.'
Labskin on a chip and Labskin AI will hopefully catapult the company forward. Recently a virtual skin model was created by the company for psoriasis which Gerard Brandon - CEO of Integumen plc, comments:
"Integumen is at the forefront of AI development for the skin care industry. AI diseased skin models are the new frontier and are a disruptive platform for new drug discovery. This has the ability to transform the research and development of diseased skin treatments, making them a lot less expensive and bring products to the market faster. This is why large skin care companies are signing up to use LabskinAI, as reported in the RNS issued earlier today"

This new way of testing is not only faster but it requires NO Animal testing which fits with modern world views that we should not be testing products, cosmetics or pharmaceuticals on animals. Making Labskin an ethical alternative that is attractive to the industry. There are also new rules and regulations which force companies to prove claims that they make on their products. Which is perfect timing for the company.
There are other positives to the company but I will leave you to investigate further
