Evening all.
After a respectful sabbath hush on here, I can report that the sunshine has thankfully returned today and I have not been eating fish!
Now I don't much do balance sheets as being a rockhead I do orogens rather than origami, but moved by idle curiosity over a recently reported 'commitment' of the company, I decided to have a try. It wasn't hard to find a ~$16m item in the 2018 annual report as 'Mineral exploration and evaluation' in note 8 as a 'non-current asset' on page 18 and being the aggregated total expended over the years to date. A corresponding, updated amount and it's reclassification is clearly explained on pages 12 and 26 and in note 9 of the 2019 annual report. In no way (IMO) can this past expenditure be claimed to be a future commitment.
Hence I conclude that the recent conclusions and claims by Septo to be erroneous.
Now that was a boring post, ha, ha! I promise not to repeat it, LoL!
Regards to all Scotgolders, R.
Oh, what's to do? What's to do? For many a long while now things have been so quiet and untroubled. Traffic on the canal has dwindled to nought and my dear father, Mr Keeper, has upskilled to harmonium repairer. But now, what is this? Great, once again, has become the verbal uproar, and it seems that the once rotten constituency of South Worcestershire is being contested by those of more than one persuasion. Will Sir Jasper have to conjure up replacement gates for the Hall off Amazon, to keep the mob at bay?
BBB, you've been quiet of late. Hi there Rockhead, health problems have quietened me down a wee bit + a wee bit of a truce by you know who.Todays intervention? hmm could not resist it,all the long term posters know who is who on here.Benidorm? missed a couple due to aforesaid probs but going on Dec 4th,cheers Baz.
CP52, there are floods here! A miserable wet day, I log in to here and my hopes of cheer are dashed.
Morar will likely soon repeat his words of wisdom for all.
Septo, welcome to SGZ, but I hope your 'striving' doesn't become boring. Debate of corporate minutiae and self-justification in the name of punter protection were the hall-marks of a previous poster. I have always found the company open to queries.
BBB, you've been quiet of late. I thought you must have gone to Beni to escape the GE and Brexit noise! Couldn't you resist the prospects of a BB dust-up or a new 'coat-tail?' Ooops, sorry! My senile delinquency is hanging out! As you say, a brighter expectation here than ever before.
Time for a pint! Regards to all here, R.
Cheers CP. A bit fresh? it's 5 degrees man yer gittin 'soft
Good morning Bigbadbaz , It would appear that you are taking the bait yourself by assuming that I'm referring that you are part of the old pals reunited .Lol,actually I was referring to the 3 of us.I am a mere observer these days.I thought things were getting better with the posters but we are back to groundhog day .All will be revealed in the coming year. The sp going up is a good thing but only implies that expectation has gone up.We are past the darkest hour and the future on paper appears to be bright.Time will tell.Hope the floods down there are not affecting you, cheers Baz.
Septo,my grandfather was called Septimus as he was the 7th born into the family. There is a link to everything in this life.
Here is a suggestion for the old pals reunited------.Calm down CP52, we have been very civil to each other of late, let's keep it that way.Much much better.Stop taking the other persons bait and let it all play out.
Good morning young man.Take no heed to what I write, just the ramblings of an old man trying to compete with Risk Managers cryptic posts.Mind how you go in here, one bad post and you disappear.
Two verbal foes who were kicked out of this place------took up the good fight on a patch known as the other place. These verbal assassins rip lumps from each man with visceral hatred as no other can. They yell at each other and they huff and they puff and now the new board s just not enough. So now to push forward and win the attack they both donned a disguise and both men came back.who will win this good fight which will go to the death?.We will sit back and watch while holding our breath.
