Let's not mention the North Yorkshire mines...
Rockhead, bang on with that. What a rollercoaster of a ride. I think they stuffing my money into the lining of the tunnel in the North Yorkshire mine. :-)
Hi RM.
"Best try another brain-storm and a new venture, like quarries and mines in North Yorkshire!"
Ha, ha! Nice one! Bellers will like that too!
Regards, R.
That is terrible indeed. I hope this will not delay us by a year here. NHS is worst performing national health system in the Europe - mortality numbers don't lie. We should clap them everyday because they really need it.
Morar, perfect timing for comment upon the scarcity of bog-roll, just as someone dumps and SP drops!
Yayay, ask yer Mam is yer can run to Mr. Patel's and buy back that one share more cheaply. She'll not want to miss a bargain. LoL!
Morar, not quite cashless, as I sneaked out this morning to the ATM for some. At least now it's plastic, one can disinfect, wash and rinse it.
Samson, fear not for the economy, as i shall start a new service enterprise of money laundering!
I know what you're all thinking, but being a rock-head, at least I can't lose my marbles!
Regards to all here and stay safe, R.
Morning all.
Yayay, I'm glad to hear your mam did her bit to stop panic buying. It's Important, Scotgold shares must be getting as scarce as bog roll.
Rock, I have just realised I haven't seen any money in weeks. Could this be the start of the cashless society?
RM, thanks for the good wishes.
Stay safe all.
You are, of course, all astute enough to know that yesterday's game-changing trades were down to me.
It was I who called at Mr Patel's and bought four shares. But when I got home me mam slapped me round the head, "Idiot! I told you to get three. Take one back. Right now!" So I did.
Morar, must be the change left after shopping at Mr. Patel's.
RM, a 1 share trade.............code for an RNS? Too optimistic perhaps!
Regards, R.
Evening all.
Yayay, was that your long awaited buy at 0817?
If so congratulations.
Stay safe all.
Yayay hi,
The OCD must be getting worse, I just had to check lol. I was wrong earlier it was 980 shares on 3 Oct not 830.
I now have 51000, something will have to be done. Medication needed I think.
Ha, ha, R, I shall make my huge purchase when it will help me to average down some more. Since my average is currently 52p, this could be sometime tomorrow, or maybe Monday. Regards, y
Yayay.
We shall all be watching like hawks and ready to cheer for your 4 share buy!
Regards, R.
Hi Samson, quite agree, but your statement assumes a rational market. I think it's safe to say we don't have that. Regards all.
Hi Samson, I have always considered funding to be the biggest risk. I have an engineering background and getting the rock out and processing it is just a well understood and practiced process surely. The BPT proved the recovery rate.
Yayay hi, Absolutely rolling about here. Only recently I bought 830 shares to ensure I had a nice round figure ending in four zeros when the options are converted. I then bought my son 1000 as a Christmas present, they are in my ISA with my own and it's unbalanced now. They need to come out! LOL.
Morning R, I MUST add. Having at long, long last (almost) managed to conclude my options purchase it has left my carefully-garnered holding of 100,000 (my original target of 10m in old money) knocked into an odd looking 106,796. This offends my teutonic mindset and so I am forced to buy 4 shares to get back to a round number. Regards, y
Morning Morar and Samson.
Respect to you stalwarts and your posts. Whilst I have not be in quite your class of stalwarts, I definitely won't be selling any more and may indeed add.
Hi CP52.
As you say, there is the potential for much greater things to come, so we we all be here much longer. The geology hasn't changed, but the knowledge, understanding and hence potential are exciting to old rockheads! LoL!
Regards to all, R.
I was on site and it was in the very early days the tunnel had been completed. The number of years ago is irrelevant as time does not change the gold contact or at least that is what I think!!
having studied the drilling results with a geologist many years ago I think the quantity of gold projected will prove to be accurate and if anything there could be more not less.
Hi Rockhead,
I fall into the Yayay camp here. I am a sticky fingered kind of guy. I find it less stressful and more relaxing and like other old hands I am used to red.
I have never held enough of SGZ such that a complete loss would be a disaster. I must admit though, following the rises of the last few weeks the Scotgold shares are are much bigger percentage of my pot than they were, not enough to make me fret though. I do hope that such a worrying situation arises mind.
I am happy to hold and not bank rises, because I foresee a steady series of events in the nearish future that can only have a beneficial effect on the share price. First production and gold pour, hopefully filmed by BBC because it'll probably be the only way I see it (HINT, HINT) . Then the work up to and achievement of 1st stage production. Repayment of the chairman's funding (god bless his little cotton socks) and the development of mine and facilities up to full production. I'm sure in parallel with this the Geo's will continue their work and the Drills will get dusted off and a lot of good news will ensue.
I'm in and staying in because of this.
Regards
Hi Yayay.
Taking profit is turning paper wealth into assured wealth and works wonders for the bank balance! I confess that I have done that in 2016 and also this week @80-81p (over 100% profit) for ~45% of my very modest holding to return my stake for other purposes, but left the remainder as 'free' shares' for undoubted future appreciation. We live in uncertain times and some today have have perhaps acted similarly. I suspect that near future rises will be more sedate than recently and with the December options date looming, their conversion will not help the SP, but if they are taken up by 'sticky hands,' then the dilution topping up the company coffers will likely have little or no effect.
When development mining starts, the BBC cranks up the radar and the first gold pour is imminent, who knows where the SP might go? I may miss out on some future gain at that time, but safety first and spread the eggs with DYOR is what I do. It has worked for me most of the time (even with SXX until just now, ha,ha!), but each to his own philosophy.
Anyway, money is just half the story for me with Scotgold. Nowt wrong with a bit of faith and fun! Looking forward to 2020 and another mine visit!
Regards to all here, R.
Yes, Candydog. I have to say I've never quite understood the concept of 'Taking Profit'. Up to a point, yes, but not entirely. Can't really appreciate why anyone would offload a holding of 80,000+ now (in one trade, who knows how many in aggregate?) when just a few more weeks could bring a much bigger return. Each to their own, I suppose, but it nonetheless bemuses me.
Carefull what you wish for. :). Blue is good.
Ah, red! Phew! This is what we old timers can understand, praise the Lord. Back in our comfort blanket and thankful to be here. Bring on 25p!!
