Deltalo. you really need to know the history of this company going back to fast forward innovation and how real long term investers feel. otherwise they will simply think you are in it for a fas buck but making out your going to hold. so best not to say this is the greatest company around. lol.
He needs to keep away from all the family and friends investments. Why no investments when he keeps telling us he’s looking through dozens everyday. He’s a joke
As long as ed does the right thing with the cash and a forward looking statement with his plans going forward all good. and the good thing so far he is using the cash to help shareholders which he is one anyway. as said all pretty good at the moment.
Ahh. Dagenham. Are they all playing games like doggy. Taking like it’s a good investment and then selling.
I must add Ed hinted at getting back £20m plus for Leap at a time when he knew fine well it was to be £5m
Midas, Deltalo is joking.
The company isn’t generating cash all the time. lol. It’s a fund that’s lost money for the last seven years. £5m to mates in US and near £5m on other mates ventures. They have a lower NAV than 8 years back. The dividend is from a payment they got for their £5m investment in Leap. After 7 years and lots of input and money they got their money back. £5m. No profit and decided to pay it out after much arguing with disgruntled shareholders. They haven’t made any profits. Just paying out cash. Their nav is decreasing.
It will drop a bit on the 25th and then rise in the days and weeks afterwards, that’s what usually happens.
Remember the company is generating cash all the time so the value will increase also.
Offloading cash on dividend and share buybacks is a very good sign the company is doing very well and retuning cash back to its investors.
I expect regular dividend payments and so this will attract new investors along the way.atb.
What!!! They still have Qu1nt as a rude world. lol.
lol. i thought. he’s only done this to try and pacify the disgruntled shareholders. he’s done buybacks and dividends. he hasn’t invested in anything new or done any real work. i still think of him as much use as *****.
Midas. reefles is joking.
Your right reefles. lol.
Genius ????? Why
Either way, I think we can all agree that Ed has played a blinder and is an underappreciated genius.
Why do you think the share price will rise following the dividend dealto?
Just checked. 100% you can sell on the 26th. Your name would be on the register 26th and if you sell the buyer would be on the register 27th.
You must be in by the end of trading on the 24th,
Just make sure you’re in.
I’m not selling anyway as the sp will move up towards that day and drop a little on the 25th then rise again so it’s a win win, I’ll get my 5k dividend and enjoy the sp rise.
Dyor but that’s what I’m going to do.
You'll know when you can sell as the sp will be rerated
Shareholders on the register of the members[ the record date] which is 26th april. anyway i am not selling anyway.
Only £500 allowance on dividends now in a trading account.. Bed that isa before sunak spends it on his cronies
Lol. No. You can sell on the 26th. See my previous post. With the list of explanations.
Nope. you need to be on the register on the 26th to get the dividend payment. do not sell on the 26th april.
Yes. You can buy on 24th and sell on 26th and get the dividend.
You need to be in before ex dividend day to get your payment. So if you buy in on the 25 then you won’t get a dividend. So your last day is Wednesday the 24th.
Best to get in well before that like I am imo.
Yep. that is right. you must be a shareholder on the 26th to get the dividend. that is what i am saying. ed has played a blinder. so no good selling on ex dividend as you will not get the dividend, probalby not a good idea to sell on the 29th as shares will probalby have gone down. but buying cheap shares on the 26th and holding what you have gets a bigger dividend for you and cheap shares. it is clear to me.
