There is such a lot scientifically to take in at scancell and it grows every few months too ...but at the end of the day CH is paid rather a lot to know what is going on!... And if it is true they speak daily then I do not see why he is not constantly in the loop.... but as I say really it is Lindy's talent that is going to push us through and may well be she has to do that herself by wooing the likes of Mellman...
"I sometimes think there is a disconnect between team scancell science the part we are all really invested in with great hopes and team scancell plc or Chippers and co... "
I totally agree crumbs.
You get one message from CH and a totally different one from Lindy at the AGM.
Lindy should make a recording and get CH to mime it. Sorry for the high voice its just my tight trousers.
I sometimes think there is a disconnect between team scancell science the part we are all really invested in with great hopes and team scancell plc or Chippers and co... not sure they really ever know exactly what is going on in team science :) there are probably a few bits of evidence for this but one that bugged me since was CH did in a Q&A after an investor presentation did say the BiONtech collab came to a conclusion in June... clearly it did not and there had been a 6 months delay that we learnt of from Lindy and the reasons why at AGM ....I just hope Lindy got to Mellman last month and convinced him enough for him to convince Genetech to make a move in soon lol... it is what is needed our science team is a colossal and with the right financial backing could transform into a pharma contender in a relatively short time..... Going to be interesting with the continuing moditope knowledge and the looking into possible causes of failure... a very important very scientific process ,how and exactly when modi1 trial appears... will it not just be a combo trial due to needing to use patients on current approved treatments but will it also involve other combos that limit it chances of failure and indeed get it to that 100% survival in humanised mouse model potential....... Anyways think was to be expected now would be a quiet period , though news of the first patient dosed would be nice.... that 6 months BioNtech setback is being eaten away at and it all sounded hopeful to me there
Morning Ray, that and the TCRs is what I include as left field news for sure
Morning C7
One thing you can say is that SCLP are no the best at keeping us informed. I suspect they are just totally focused on all of the projects going on.
Take item 7 on my list
7 A new Mab has been identified to stimulate certain types of memory TCells
I would have thought that in itself would warrant a left field news item. This looks to me like it is possibly another novel discovery leading to another platform protected by patents. We are left to speculate until more is revealed.
But the pattern is clear that many of Lindy's ideas lead to advances in the science. We rarely see projects fizzling out when they meet problems.
A great example of that is Avidimab. The Glycans project hit a big problem when humanising the Fc portion of the Mabs caused them to lose their killing power. Out of that problem Avidimab was born.
Hoping everybody had a good weekend and all fresh for the week ahead. I would dare say an important week ahead. Will we finally leave Europe? And will we here get news?
I dare say as Saturday suggested, with little to discuss here, we decided not to venture into the world of politics, a shame really as with Brexit seemingly coming to the last hurdles I was actually looking forward to hearing the goings on in the House of Commons, two hours later I regretted that decision and found solace getting attacked by trolleys in the aisles of Waitrose, and the anger and impatience of people was palpable. BTW there was avery good discussion on Brexit over on the Lloyds BB as there normally are for those wanting to read some pretty pertinent opinions.
Back to Scancell, where we all waiting for news, there are just so many times we can regurgite the same old and it seems those times have been pretty much exhausted, even interesting news around the Pharma World has been in short supply when it comes to any staggering data from trials in play. Even my hopes that Scancell might just RNS us when all patients were enrolled having been screened and dosed was dashed on hearing the BOD would notify us with regular updates on how we are proceeding with that, at the AGM and I did listen to that part again as it was news to me and still couldn"t hear it clearly., however happy to accept from Bermuda they did.
So this week is the 6th since the AGM, no news on any fronts and even on Twitter there has been nothing since September 28th. Pretty unusual in itsef. In the meantime we are seeing the SP dragged down to the 5s, despite seeing the first six figure buys (three of them) for a few weeks. Just hoping our buyers after a weekends deliberation see this level as a good time to buy in/more, at around 6.07/6.08 and put a halt on any further red days, and rather than say I feel an RNS coming, I would say it would be no surprise if we do get one. Careful what you wish for they say, lol, but with our minds focused on the SCIB1 trial it was good to be reminded by Ray on Friday of all the potential items of news being currently worked on, and they would all form a very welcome update RNS, and just perhaps ever closer to cementing our first commercial deal. GL everyone have a good week.
