I can see the reason to short on a technical basis .... but why risk on this stock ffs.
Plenty more to pick from with more certainty and better return atm. RRE could suspend intra-day, no problem, just wish it would with shorters fully loaded.
Yes SQZ really do have a very profitable business and low cost base, was a shareholder last yr, I see RRE as a better play now.
SQZ FYI is ~$13boe ....
Sure more 'experts' will arrive as the day draws out ..... ready to load up for tomorrow.
Thefuturetruth…reckons TULLOW going to £5 this week but RRE doomed...
That is the quote of the week. ha ha ha
Thefuturetruth…reckons TULLOW going to £5 this week but RRE doomed...
Apologies, ‘the future truth’. Derrida said there was no such thing as empirical truth so would also welcome your thoughts on this subject.
‘thelongergame’ asks a fair question and the reality is $35/barrel is not a viable price for some producers. Where I suspect our views diverge however is that RRE can survive at this level and its cash position means it can act as a purchaser of distressed assets in short order. Whilst you pose this as an apparent weakness for RRE, I see it as quite the opposite.
looks like some muppets missed out on buying sub £6 and now want in at a lower price. lol - dividend to be paid out, only short term risk is the opec+++ meeting outcomes, but everyone knows they need to cut, this includes those not in the opec+ group
No doubt there will be further acquisitions coming
Is North Sea oil production viable at less than $35 a barrel?
$60-$70 would be comfortable while $40-$50 puts many projects in the “risk zone”. On average globally projects are sanctioned at a breakeven oil price of $35 per barrel and this is talking 18. Catch a grip folks
Is North Sea oil production viable at less than $35 a barrel? If you can say yes well done folks you know nothing about investing in energy and oil, if you look for the answer a company can make next to nothing at 18 dollars per barrel someone needs their head looking because oil ain’t coming out of the sea or ground for that and the medium term outlook is further downside on oil, If the company suspended operations you would think, hold on a second there is brain cell between them but rubbish about 18 dollars makes a profit what a joke
