I prefer this one,
Punt at a bookers, lose and the race is over.
Punt on a share and you enter the race EACH day you hold for the same stake.
With the right timing, eventually you will have a winner!
Cw your right greed can take over a friend of mine got 2 tips for the horses but instead of just backing them he got greedy and put a so called sure thing in at 3 to 1 on in a treble the 2 tips won and the so called sure thing lost and won nothing and lost his money.so the motto of this true story is cw is right
Your right cw you cant chasing the rainbow ,isold royal mail at 423 then went to nearky £6 was happy to cash out at 423 at the time and bank the profit.have 48 buys in rr and this time will sell in blocks.always stated lth hold but if it goes up faster than many imagined i will sell a block and enjoy the profit. If botbot target is 145 can you not split your investment in rr into blocks say in 10. Sell 8 blocks at 145 your target then say your next target is 165 sell another then let the next ride along.dont do stop loss could you not set stop loss at 150 some will no doubt disagree but you would not drop below 145 and still have a bigger profit.this is of course assuming rr continues to rise .heres hoping botbot you have a long and healthy retirement.
I may consider selling RR when it's back above 500p. In time they'll do buybacks and reduce the huge float.
IMO, there's too much potential at the moment. Re-org, Trent issues resolved, electrical planes, Ultrafan, Nuclear propulsion, SMR.. plus more goodies
What am I going to buy instead? Boring Lloyds shares? Ha ha ha.
CW.
Yep. That is the plan.
Will be keeping a close eye on news and sentiment.
If it flies past 148 I may just reset for the 161 number.
Good luck this week.
BB-CW The Volume traded this week was just off the charts I still believe in the trading range of 95-150 however since the last post I now re-consider 105 the low range instead of 95 following last week support at resistance coupled with the contract announcements last night and as a result moving the upper range towards sp 160/70p for the price direction. The Price action alone last week reaffirms Falky's reasons not to use a stop loss when you have conviction in a stock. AIMO DYOR
CW.
I did cover myself!
I said anywhere from current to …….
I also think 250 is a bit of a stretch but I don’t think many people believed a 105 to 134 jump in 8 BDs would happen either.
Tapering will be taken to well into 2022
I think what they did last week says how cautious they are going to be
Cw when you say about tapering... I don’t think the fed will go all in ... it would collapse the market ... any tapering will be a gentle staged thing as not to spook the Dow.. although it will drop some
good riddance you massive bloater
Falky
Not saying you don’t do 6k a point but to say I’m poorest on here come on flaky don’t act the knob
Theirs some bull**** flying around tonight. Shame.
6k a point .... I think the poorest on .... give it a rest
No mate.
I bet I am poorer :-)
falky , he bought in after news of long haul travel he mentioned the other day , are you coming back in on the news from RR
CW…. If you compare to the Babccok restructure that was a 27% jump in a day if memory serves.
RR could well be anywhere between current and £2.50 by the end of the week.
Let’s just hope that sentiment out there re travel, Covid, petrol shortages etc etc doesn’t spoil the week.
CW: I hear ya! I think we are in for a very interesting few days ! You never know what RR are going to pull out of the bag next!
After a long and complex journey, the purchase of ITP is ready to be formalized next Monday, September 27, at least the first and most important of its steps. Bain Capital, the investment fund that presented the best offer for the Basque aeronautics owned by Rolls Royce, has reached a preliminary agreement to form the industrial consortium requested by the central and Basque governments. The military technology company SAPA Placencia, based in Andoain, has agreed with the fund its participation to provide that guarantee for the industrial project and the 'roots' demanded by the administrations. JB Capital, the investment group founded by Javier Botín and with Alberto García Elías as CEO, will also participate in the group. According to sources familiar with the process confirmed to 'Crónica Vasca', these will be the actors who participate in the signing of the agreement on Monday, although the consortium remains open for future incorporation of the administrations if they so wish, such as the Basque Government, or public companies . And it is that Bain has offered up to 30% of the shareholding for the companions who want to join in the ownership of the new ITP Aero
