Hi Tiger, Yes, there are some who think that if their local issues in controlling the virus have been significantly resolved, then it is ok for them to carry on as normal. However, as you make the point quite clearly, it isn't over until it's sorted everywhere. Lets not lose sight of the fact that as long as this goes on, people are losing their lives and they really don't give a rats caboose about wealthy peoples money issues. It's a question about priorities and I think that I can sit on a pile of shares that are not making unearned money for me if other people can die because nobody wants to give them the protection they need and deserve. I don't love money that much!
You need to watch the Dow Jones and overnight futures for clues. It doesn't matter what day it is the same pattern is generally played out. Set the chart to 1 week or less. At 16.30pm yesterday the UK closing time the Dow stood at 33820 ish. Currently the Dow futures are above this region although they fell lower yesterday evening. European markets have made tentative moves high on the strength of an improving Dow Jones. RR itself has concerns over travel but when the Dow falls others follow in general.

02:00 is AM
It's always good to keep some dry powder for panic dips but also not get too greedy waiting for an entry price that is never gonna happen.
Back down we go! Nice 15 mins of green anyway
Why do you write 02:00PM?
It's either 2 pm, 2:00pm or 14:00
Give it time snakebite :)
Fingers crossed looks like all travel stocks are up and green today. It is safe to assume yesterday was a flash crash. And 99p was our bottom.
If we stay above 102p till 02:00PM then we should be good
Phew atleast it didn't drop like a stone. Yet..
Unfortunately RUCEY is 0.98 not 1.03
Also sentiment is continuing down
Makes no difference to me but I think it will probably be 0.94 tomorrow
Snakes will pray lol
I would, it’s finished
AJ225, yes the problem is that while UK and some Europe plus US are progressing well, countries like India with huge poulations are faring less well. I suspect the India situation is far worse than they claim. Also I think these folk may treat religious observance (bathing in Ganges etc) as more important than being COVID cautious. They have insufficient vaccines, and this is the case in many "second" and "third" world countries. As the WHO bass said, until eveyone is safe, no-one is safe. In this scenario, the FTSE and DOW seem grossly inflated given the likely adverse effects on business, and I will not be surprised to see a (long overdue) correction on world markets very soon.
Doesn’t matter what the SP is tomorrow, unless you’re looking to buy or sell tomorrow or using CFDs
Happy holding, bought some more today. Better to ask what will the SP be in your investment time frame ( that timeframe is 6 months to 18 months for me, but I can wait longer). I believe the SP in 18 months will be more than 107 (my average).
Botbots calculations would make the US price at 98.6 so we shall see what happens in the morning. Not looking pretty anyway. Facepalm!
Here's to a positive day tomorrow. GLA I hope we get back up to 1.07p and stay above 1.00p. Frankfurt just closed aftermarket at 1.00p. and RYCEY at 1.03p
took 2K loss in Boeing and SL updated to 88p on Rolls phew I can sleep in peace.
Every variant has the potential to cause additional harm. I have spent 6 months taking blood and swab samples from households in the east of England so transmission and variation can be monitored. I also did a degree that partly focused on disease in populations. Albeit in herds. Point is, if my herd bumps into your herd and, what's left of us feel ok, doesn't mean we cant accidentally, "bugger you up", in Pidgin English!
Happened to me also!
Totally agree with you tiger I've suffered from that in the past too. Hence why I try and keep a clear bracket
Yes, only in the cold light of day!
in coming weeks we will also know how India will control the surge and UK announcing whether Indian variant is variant of concern or not
I might start shorting this, every fcuker else seems to be and earning money.
Solid, stop losses can be a dangerous game overnight. The MMs may drop the price for a short time to trigger your stop, then quickly raise the price again. Before anyone says "nonsense", it's happened to me in the past.
based on what I am reading. UK still on track to open travel from May17th with traffic light. And US most likely will be on green given both countries having high vaccination rates
