Booooom.....
TalkingSense, perhaps you'd talk even more sense if you realised RMS isn't purely about masks.
Loved the snarky tone of that RNS. Perhaps they wouldn't have to be annoyed at information leaking out if they didn't keep withholding it while people saw their investments going down day by day.
thats the way- many however dont fell the same
Most quality ffp3 masks are around £10 each. By quality I'm referring to brands such as 3M.
FFP2 masks are around £20 for a box of 5.
Thanks Nobby, So (excluding costs) if we are paid 30p a mask we would have to produce c 57million to clear the £17m attributed to the current SP by the mask and c 163m to justify the 3p SP (2.5yrs production @5m/month)….and then those numbers need increasing with costs.
I know that's not how the mcap works on pure revenue , but shows the optimism required to get to 3p/share....especially as the current order book is zero.
NHS could order 1-2m a month as some have pondered (obviously we would have to price point lower and hope that they have not already signed contracts with other mask companies who produce masks with a protection level similar to the lower protection mask that we have now decided to produce).
Some of the additional mcap over the last couple of months may be due to the other products/services that RMS have (as some have alluded) so happy for anyone to point out those services and the mcap impact they have had.
Herd should be heading back in anticipation of good news. Covering myself with BRH , hope trick trev doesn’t bail on me.

87 on the 1 July ...gl with your investments sir.
Simran, great post,
Was it not talked about actual retailing the mask at £1 ?
When the companies i am/have been involved with, the very big chains absolute maximum to pay the supplier is 29p, to enable a £1(or 99p) selling point
For this, you have to make, package, deliver, absorb long payment terms, rebates in some instances, and also in some cases the own branding .
Found this very difficult on lower price point items ,unless you got huge orders of course.
imo, think with the right publicity people would pay tops £1.99/£2.99 per mask ? maybe more ? thoughts ?
At the moment , due to Brexit changes and huge transport costs, and long delivery dates from China(and paying 5/6 times for a container compared to last Autumn ),plus the negativity on some parts from Uk companies to the chines in the Covid scenario ,we have a huge starting point when we can produce (whatever patent we have ,trust me the chinese will have a version)
GLA LTH
Will so you are in your 80'S?
People pay a couple of quid for dress masks tbh so a mask that has our abilities people would pay £5
TalkingSense "bought in on spikes @2.5 and 1.85...then at 1.45then sold at 1.75 and claimed a profit (????). "
It was only the 1.45 I sold @ 1.75 therefore a profit.
would you pay £5 for a mask ?
Thanks Simrann… I appreciate a sensible answer.
Have you any idea what the profit margin after costs is projected to be for a mask?
Casajaluma" people expect to buy a share and sell it the next day and if they dont make a profit they get upset-"
I have been day trading for over 60 years I never get upset ,if a stock I bought depreciates I will hold until it presents a profit...no worries.
Simple Maths really , 5 million masks a month
£1 a mask =£5 million
£5 a mask = £25 million revenue
Minus costs to produce
This is just the masks side of things
Company has much more going for it.
Dyor!
will you actually show how AIM works...according to your posting history you bought in on spikes @2.5 and 1.85...then at 1.45 ...then sold at 1.75 and claimed a profit (????).
Then bought in on the spike yesterday around 1.65-1.8 so are underwater on that trade.
Maybe trading on the numbers instead of being a sheep would improve your profits...sorry losses.
Realism79"how does the AIM market work? I'd love to know!"
Abnormally Spasmodically
pick a share - listen to rubbish - buy it - loose money
or ignore idiots and do some research and buy because you believe in a products/company
i have millions of shares in rms and i am confident they will do well- people expect to buy a share and sell it the next day and if they dont make a profit they get upset- doesnt work like that- for rms its a long journey-many people sold out at a loss- got bored etc etc.- this is the sad society we live in - everyone expects something for nothing-
hope that helps somewhat
TalkingSense "SP (with a degree of "AIM BS" built in :-)"
If thats what it takes then so be it,trade at the right times its a win win for me.You carry on investing on numbers..lol
will1734...I agree short term that AIM does not work like that as rampers and derampers impact the SP as sheep believe the BS they spout.
However over the medium/long term the fundamentals of a company will in a large part dictate the SP (with a degree of "AIM BS" built in :-)
So the question remains valid:
How many masks a year do we have to produce/sell to justify that £17m mcap increase currently attributed to the masks?
And therefore how many masks do we have to produce/sell to justify a 3p SP (mask attributable mcap contribution c£49m)
TalkingSense
AIM Market doesn't work like that I am afraid...
The company had a c£15m mcap prior to the masks being announced.
Currently the mcap is c £32m
That would suggest that £17m is currently attributed to the value of the masks.
So question: How many masks a year do we have to produce/sell to justify that £17m mcap increase.
And therefore how many masks do we have to produce/sell to justify a 3p SP (mask attributable mcap contribution c£49m)
dr cave is a responsble man keen to safes lives - he could of screwed shareholders like TB and sold- money is not his interest- making the masks is- they have had teething problems but whch companies dont have them - its all part of the journey- support the guy and make his dream come to market !!!!
They’re cheap because there’s uncertainty over what the future holds all 2 billion of them!
