Alfa Laval have previously been heavily involved in developing the PQE Cort technology with Valkor. Could well be them chasing the shares. Some very good recent posts on Reddit re future potential.
The offer for Petroteq is just for the technology reasons.But the economic of Oil Sands without MSAR is not the right one…. So?
Petroteq's potential value has very little to do with QFI or MSAR and they were looking to to buy 200 million shares for around 4x the current price. End users of the Petroteq system may well want to work with QFI to enhance their end product offering, but that will not affect PQE's income as they licence the use of the technology for an up-front fee, with possible ongoing royalties.
The proposed move to approach US/Canadian shareholders suggests they are serious players and their regulatory requirements may force them to offer the same for all shareholders. Looking forward to seeing where this goes....
Petroteq without QFI is not worth a takeover. If they can offer 200Mil for them, than believe that QFI is in their focus to.
Interesting post on Tomce re. "hostile" bid for Petroteq shares being redirected toward US/Canada.

To that I would add, so what if it takes 12 to 15 months to complete the LONO/s? The crucial point is they happen and will undoubtedly succeed in proving itself as a better and more desirable fuel to be burning in 2021, and hopefully helps develop biomsar at the same time.
The aim is to then use Quadrise fuel in a significant proportion of the MSC fleet which, if agreed, would transform the company and its fortunes.
In these circumstances 12 months is nothing.
Nowhere has it been said that MSAR will be shipped from Scandinavia for the LONO trials. Sufficient has been produced there for the trial in Morocco.
The decision on where to produce for the LONO trial has not been announced.

I read on a different thread that it is estimated that it would take 6 months to reinstate the MMU into CEPSA San Roque should it be required.
I assume that roughly the same timescale applies to all refineries where Quadrise choose to produce MSAR for the sea trials.
So, as far as I can ascertain, unless they are going to transport MSAR from Scandinavia in bulk to refuel these ships, we are realistically looking at an absolute minimum of 12 to 15 months, before we can optimistically expect a LONO from either engine manufacturer.
Plus delays, of course.
Also, while we know the type of vessel, we don't know which vessel or the route. These will be advised by MSC and are necessary when deciding the refinery where the MMU will be installed.
We know it is the north Atlantic but it may be Hamburg New York for example, which may not make CEPSA a good choice. On the other hand if it is running out of the Mediterranean then CEPSA is ideal and will also be right for the Morocco trials.

It’s a container vessel, one of the largest types at that, and will burn msar 24/7 across the he Atlantic and back.
If you’re unsure just ask, there are many long term holders here who are not desperate tampers etc. We ha e the info and are happy to pass on.
As for who advised? Management and experience and knowledge of our company. 6 months from LONO start and it’s done.
