Yes, thank you Shandypants for you presentation notes.
Shady.. thanks for taking the time to give feedback on last night..I to am very comfortable with my investment. So much so it is one of two share i own now outside funds and my biggest by a country mile. People expecting instant uplift and results from a company strategy arent investors in my book they are traders.. If Cathal has sucha large position and IIs have backed this company at a premium raise three times now, them I am for sure. Months not days is the way to make money with this share. GLA
Shandy
Thanks for taking the time to post.
I don’t have any worries here, apart from the general macro environment.
Were Cathal & Co well received and were there many attendees?
Cheers
brainspark
Thanks for confirming you didn't attend the presentation ;)
that's a strange interpretation.
Cathal is confident about contracts. Feb one may be delayed by a week or two. Not really the same as "no near term contracts".
brain - did you attend either of the 2 presentations yesterday ? - if so you could have asked the question
Thank you for confirming my source.
No near term contracts !
Having attended the Manchester event yesterday, here are a few pointers.
Cathal is a very approachable guy and happy to answer all questions.
He has a stock broker background and is the first to admit he is not a pharma expert.
The presentation was as that provided recently by the company so no massive surprises there.
The big positive for me was his answers to my questions re the 24 bed facility.
He said it is being utilised by BIG pharma companies for challenge studies - testing their vaccines against small doses of known viruses - and is currently full. When pressed he confirmed Merck are currently using it (so the deramping comments on here over the last few days can be ignored).
He also said the facility is almost completely booked for 2020 - it was utilised 30% in 2019. So a massive increase here.
He also spoke about the lab space they have and this is where they create vaccines etc - this appears to be the area where Prof Oxford may add value and where coronavirus may provide some business.
Other comments re contracts were interesting. He is hoping to announce one a month this year. The last was in Jan - when i mentioned whether we would get a Feb one he said it might be a week or so late. I then asked if we would then get 2 in March and he said wait and see. He also told the audience not to invest in ORPH unless they see these contracts dropping, so he seems pretty confident.
In terms of contracts he did say that Venn contracts were steady and long term whereas HVO have the opportunity to do larger ones (£3m to £5m) so each new one would make a substantial difference to company's bottom line.
Someone did ask about the possibility of selling and he did say there were 1 or 2 interested companies already
So in summary progress is definitely being made and this will be evidenced by new contracts . I came away reasonably comfortable with my investment.
This could fall 30% on ramping by the Chairman.
Sub 5p coming
I'm hearing yesterday's presentation he said more time is needed
Your talking garbage..
Pharma are only waking up to this..
'Wrong, Big Pharma plan every stage and have contracts in place to deliver the whole lifecycle.'
Please enlighten us where you heard this? What big pharma are you pontificating about?
Wrong, Big Pharma plan every stage and have contracts in place to deliver the whole lifecycle.
Open Orphan are not getting these contracts. Ask yourself why ?
Brainspark aka Captain Kurt.
Probably the most obvious attempt at deramping on the Net.
Big pharma are in stage 1 of a 5 stage journey..
It will be 1 year to 18 months before there is a vaccine..
That being said the only thing that will move this stock up is Coronavirus related news..no point in announcing new deals as it will only have a 1 day effect in a
frenzied environment like this..
The selling continues.
Cathal Friel has ramped these shares and big pharma are starting trials and not using their state of art facilitates
Sell up then my friend and give your shares to someone who might give the new business a little time. After all, could there be a better time to reform such a business and put it up for sale?
Actions speak louder than words....heard lots of words from Cathal and formerly Dr Trevor, but haven't seen much action to reward loyal shareholders!!! The time for talking is over!
Why do you have an interest in this company. You're supposed to like companies you invest in.... You've got it all wrong! Ha
It'll probably go something like this.....we've painted the doors and windows, fitted a new roof and on the verge of signing something significant to maximise synergies and we intended to sell at x3 income by the end of the year...blah blah blah.......
Would be great to hear your feedback?
Anyone going?
Will pop along as although i'm not expecting any new news would be good to meet Cathal and see if any of these contracts are close to landing
