HFB that would be welcome in the morning but I fear we will be disappointed, I'm not convinced we will see it this week or for that matter this month, PPIB seem to be concentrating on all things green at the moment especially hydro and there is covid, in fighting within government / regions all slows things up.
JJ you are correct but I doubt that orcp have had any official / formal notice of timeline changes ( if indeed there are any ) so nothing to rns. PPIB website relevent page has not been updated since 21st May so no changes there.
just have to relax and keep waiting, we will get an update eventually but it may not be what we are hoping for, perhaps this is why the sudden interest in Africa.

Would agree totally that the best antidote for this uncertainty would be the LOI/NTP.
I would suggest that the information regarding programming of key dates up to COD
Is financially sensitive with respect to the SP so if there was any significant change to published timelines then they would be legally obliged to inform the market.

So, the plot thickens....

what's in that presentation is what we have been led to believe for quite some time
the question is why is Pakistan - the locals - media reporting otherwise
7 and 10 years away against the 3 for the full 1320 we expected
Right now an rns in the morning stating LOI approved for 1320mw blah blah blah
would be most welcome
That's the point what's on the website is irrelevant since the project 1/2 loi'd feb 2018 first
of 2 x700 project changed , all the statements have been 1320mw etc with various timetable
from Build to COD minimum of 36 months that's international law health and safety stuff
The point is this is the 2nd coming out of Pakistan that says a lot later in the past 10 days
need to clarify what the hell is going on
have contacted Oracle and await reply
PPIB has June 2023 COD (now at least aug 2023 for law stuff)
will go way beyond then in that region, posted on twitter the other day an article
that usa still 27% germany 36% and eu overall 15%
all planning to cut but as the story said it will take a lot longer than 10 years to phase
out and replace with cost effective alternatives in poorer countries
HFB
Just found this on the Oracle website dated August 20. Shows projected completion in approximately 42 months. Full 1320 MW
Please accept my apologies if you have seen this before.

HFB did you read all the pages to the bottom? interesting page headed why coal still, dose'nt make for good reading.
Why Coal still ?
? Imported Coal & LNG-short term solutions
? Thar Coal-late starter; will remain unfullfilled dream;
no future beyond 2030
? India started Thar in 1970s;Europe Lignite 1950s
? Only 5000 MW ? In IGCEP 2030
? Water Issues
? High cost of local Thar coal-twice the cost elsewhere
Good news and bad new in this thing, indicates 10 fold increase in the next ten years from the Thar
and the later chart includes Oracle as part of the countries future planning (loi in the bag) however
Timelines on the chart go along with that story that came out a week or 2 ago as it indicates first
660mw 2027 and 2nd 660mw 2030 for total 1320mw in 2 stages
that was the original years ago 2 x 660 then became 2 x 700 for 1400 with loi for first 700 feb 2018
then the current 1320 which looks like 2 phase project again according to this
https://www.energyupdate.com.pk/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/null.pdf
If nothing else our BOD have some explaining to do as it may be focus but now puts
revenue 7 and 10 years away not the expected 3 year build from LOI as stated on PPIB
web COD June 2023
Another article came out last week talking about a review and revisit of Thar VI could
this be the reason for that item and they want it brought forward to asap min 3 years
from approval to COD (international law 36 months min)
