The allegation floating around is that yesterday afternoon, some who were shorting ODX suddenly found their shorts in very serious trouble following the Sky interview.
In desperation they contacted the regulator who then forced the NOMAD to issue the speeding ticket.
Then their shorts were no longer quite so far underwater as before.
Have they closed? Maybe.
If so, we could (likely will be) be off to the races again.
One thing is certain, when the test is produced, and it can't be far off, this will be well above 100p.
As for the virus burning itself out, all predictions that it would have so far been very wide of the mark. If anything the evidence is that on a worldwide basis the spread is continuing to accelerate.
Good post and agree it's a great opportunity made
more high profile by yesterdays shenanigans. Any drops will be bought (if I get the chance I will) so expecting this to hold and move up towards the end of the day. No RNS today re DF or yesterday will look even more dodgy.
If another Covid stock release big news this may head lower imo as the swarm bumble off for the day.
Not sure how this can get RNS today, if at 4pm yesterday it was stated “ it is not aware of any material reason for the significant increase.”??
Great post. Agree with everything you say, not least the high degree of political motivations at play here! Other telling points for me are;
The ramp up of manufacturing capacity - why do this if you have nothing to make.
The strong suggestion of heavy recruitment and a move to 24 hour working patterns - again, why if you don’t expect to be manufacturing.
The fact that in the interview the CEO talked about pricing and said the tests WILL be made and WOULD be sold to the govt for sub £10
This is just a matter of waiting and then watching the rise....
I know some will be disheartened watching all of yesterday’s gains fall away after the RNS but I’m choosing to focus on these few things.
1- the coverage on sky news yesterday would have opened the door to a new audience and if they didn’t know about omega diagnostics before, they do now and because of the interview you can expect all the other major media outlets to want to speak to our CEO which gives us more coverage.
Because of this interview more people are going to be watching that share price at 8am this morning and if it jumps up on the open you can expect everyone to jump in because they will tell themselves this is there last chance to get this stock sub 70p anyway.
I think what yesterday also showed us was how quickly this is going to move when we get design freeze and when our product is on every television and newspaper all over the country- people will go crazy for this product which is more money for you and me.
The government is under a lot of pressure to get this right after they have been criticised throughout for their handling of corona virus. First it was the ventilators, then it was PPE, then MPs families were getting tested before frontline workers which got Criticism.
Then they went after Han****, then Cummings...
So they desperately need to release something which gets public support back after Cummings GATE the opinion polls have dropped massively for Boris and that will be something which he will want to put back.
ODX and the consortiums anti body test is the ace up their sleeve which I feel they have been itching to share for a few weeks now.
For me a lot more people this morning know who omega diagnostics are and this has to be positive news for our SP,
Most here will have done their research and there position is clear, it’s a strong hold but if some have the *******s to slice as it goes up then good luck to you. I personally don’t and have been burned enough times in the past to now deliberately pick stocks which I can sit on long term until I get within my target price.
I’ve woke up most days believing today will be the day the RNS drops, let’s hope it is today but if it isn’t because of what happened yesterday and because people have had the night to understand the RNS this is going up again today just like yesterday and I expect all those gains to return and if we get any RNS or any additional press this morning it’s only going to help it.
Good luck all
