Not churlish at all Regulator. This is what this board is for so we can discuss and promote and answer questions etc......... and you do a great job for which i thank you
Yes its old news but the article isnt and needs sharing and the article also mentions orders which ive seen nothing about so would like to know if its accurate
" very interested by this comment in the article and of accurate why NO RNS for sure
"Omega Diagnostics has attracted significant orders and interest from African, Latin American and Asian countries for the test."
This could see a rise back to 90p +"
I don't wish to be churlish but I should point out that the WHO prequalification is old news and *was* the subject of an RNS back in August: http://www.omegadiagnostics.com/Portals/0/200821%20-%20WHO%20Prequalification%20received.pdf

One typo - sorry - but its worth getting sharing those with twitter

Nice one rivaldo. What's even better is that any collaboration with burnet should also give us some ip rights
Completely agree chuggley I’ve made this point a while back and just got shot down about it. I remember seeing like an advert on Bloomberg (Bloomberg Philanthropies) regarding antibody testing, they must have been showing it around 10 x a day a short two min clip, that would have been a perfect opportunity to setup an interview.
It just shows that there is a lot more to omega than covid and hence it will be rated more highly than other stocks like NOvAct , the catalyst is mhra registration , which should be today or early next week
Thanks for sharing but i have to wonder why we have to "find" this stugg. Surely this should be announce at least promoted by Walbrook.
Not seen it yet but TILS just had an RNS for a Bloomberg interview.
Ill get tweeting when i get up after my first coffee
rivaldo,
Great research, thanks for sharing.
We linked Covid with odx and Burnett right at the beginning but it’s gone quiet, nice to read a lot going on here, the cd4 test is very unique in its application and quality
Great find
I was going through what Omega have got in the pipeline. The potential is mind blowing
New interview with the Burnet Institute about CD4, with some juicy quotes in this extract:
Extracts:
"A Burnet-designed rapid point-of-care test for HIV has been accepted for the World Health Organization’s (WHO) list of prequalified in vitro diagnostics.
The VISITECT® CD4 Advanced Disease Test, developed by Burnet’s Global Health Diagnostics Group and commercialised and manufactured by Omega Diagnostics, was listed after WHO auditors found it effective at measuring a patient’s CD4 T cell count to assess whether urgent interventions are required in a patient diagnosed with advanced HIV.....
.....The technology and philosophy behind the CD4 test, he said, was being applied to other Burnet point-of-care tests currently in development for other diseases, including COVID-19 and sepsis.
“We’re applying those principles in the same manner: making them work in the simplest possible way in any setting,” Associate Professor Anderson said.
He said working with good partners, including Omega Diagnostics, which has commercialised and manufactured the VISITECT® CD4 Advanced Disease Test, as well as strong collaborations with Rush University and Duke University in the USA, showed Burnet’s diagnostics team could make a lasting impact on global health.
Omega Diagnostics has attracted significant orders and interest from African, Latin American and Asian countries for the test.
“I am very excited about it. It will make a huge difference to the ability to get the most value out of the interventions available for HIV,” Associate Professor Anderson said."
