We have had so many derisking events with this company: Will the design freeze be achieved? Will the abc-19 antibody test be accurate enough? Is lateral flow testing the right technology? Do antibodies imply immunity? All these questions and risks to the company have now been cleared up and heavily derisked the invesment for me.
I am laughing that the current worry some here on this bb have is will there be demand for our tests in the middle of the worst pandemic in 100 years? There are some genuine risks to the company, like the risks stated above, but I don't see demand and sales being a risk at all.
Absolute garbage there is not a chance of running out of money. The use of the placing is clear to see in the prospectus and the core business breaks even to cover admin expenses. It is only £1.1m out of the money raised to get to £500k capacity.
Anyone with half a brain cell can work out that with the products we have sales will not be a problem when all the i's are dotted and t's crossed. Our capacity will be pushed to the limit.
but is this just reliant on govt? There are commercials coming too.

that's fair enough for Sainsbury's because you know at what level they are at and roughly where they are going to be. However ODX are in the process of ramping up capacity after a fund raise including PI money based on future opportunities. We are told that the RTC test is world leading in its performance and yet we have had no indication that any orders have been made either from government or private sales. The test is CE marked and yet no confirmation that we have any orders here. MHRA approval we are still waiting for but its not nailed on and lets be honest, Governments can and do change direction at a moments notice. Now we seem to be talking about Antigen tests but that's still months away realistically. So all the ramping up of production costs money as do the new staff, without orders now we could run out of money and require another placing. So until an order confirmation comes in (and the idea that a significant order would not be RNSd is utterly laughable and well you know it) many are nervous.
Good post. Going by rns, you could assume nothing is happening. But it clear that is simply not the case!
Just more patience required, unfortunately!
Recruiting at both sites. Why recruit in Littleport if Elisa tests not looking promising too.....
Just like Sainsbury’s don’t rns every single item the sell, ODX won’t rns every order. I am backing them to put a trading update out that will exceed expectations at some stage.
Certain that we are about to take a huge step forward. Capacity needs to be extended and I believe shortly we will start to see what they have been working towards over the last few months, which will continue to push the company forward.
