I agree with MB. Recruitment and training looks to be a meaningful constraint here as evidenced by the various job adverts. It is not easy to find and recruit the right people for skilled and semi-skilled production roles, especially perhaps if you are located in an area that is not replete with peers from whom you can poach. This may be the principal reason for any perceived delay, including in the MHRA approval process.
Trust me, getting decent people is the biggest battle in the process. Even good pay is sometimes not enough incentive. I think they are still advertising for a shift leader (with pharmaceutical experience is a bit of a give away) in the area.
Safy, I'll happily donate another 5...
Let me know where to send them!
Does anybody know if we manufacture the cassettes for the lateral flow devices?
Worth noting, and something we should aim to clear up in the Q&A, that the current capacity is based on 9-5 5 days a week. So capacity should be able to be expanded by double shifts and weekends. Recruitment and training is also a limiting factor in bringing capacity up to scale.
If you could go from 1m to 10m overnight it might be a good idea. But it has taken 3 months to go from 200k to 500k. There will be an extended lead time to get the machines as everyone wants them at the moment. If they can get that government order they could order new kit today and by the time it's ready have the cash to pay for it. There is also £3m for the two new tests which i very much doubt they have spent which they could use.
woooooot
199.99 a machine???, i somehow doubt it mate. If they cost that much ill donate 5 to CK right now.
I dont think another fund raise will be needed. At the last one they set funds aside so they could either divert until cash flow hits but they also have access to £1m overdraft which they cleared so I would hope that would be the avenue before any more share offer is put out - there isnt the reason.
CK has had discussions for further machines already. This is true.
I think they retail at $199.99!
I'm expecting another share offer next week to the II's to pay for more kit and premises. ODX are going to need it.
