Chuggley Colin has been on Twitter and said we WILL be producing 2m a week in April. I know it's not an RNS and it doesn't mean we will be selling them but the world needs LFTs and it is what we do so it bodes well.
The market needs to hear the 2m a week capacity is being utilised.... simply tired of hearing we should have ..
"Unfortunately, testing will be around for years, the GOV cannot afford for this to happen again. The virus is changing / mutating all around the globe.. testing will be on our borders for YEARS to come its as simple as that. We don't want it to enter the UK. There are new strain coming out all the time, the vaccine has not been tested on a number of these new strains. There is no research to suggest how long the vaccine works for also, hence testing is needed to see if you still have antibodies (the whole of the UK population). It will go on and on and on.. its clear as day."
Plus, in relation to vaccination, we can't look at the UK (or any other country) in isolation. We have to look globally... and that vaccination process will take years, before sufficient herd immunity is reached to enable this to be a managed endemic issue rather than an unmanaged pandemic issue.

Testing will be huge for many years to come, with an obvious worldwide audience. We know that variants/mutations of the original strain will come out, much like the flu virus. So this will have to be continuesly monitored. We need to monitor if the vaccine is still effective after 3/6/12months.. years down the line also to see if the antibodies work for other mutant viruses. Its ENDLESS. We are talking 100's of millions of tests per year just for the UK itself. It truly is mind blowing.
