The Government IS Cummings!! Boris is just the puppet.....
"I really hope the governement did not spend a lot of money on this, i didnt think tests with such low accuraccy were even allowed to be rolled out. It just makes a stronger case for Mologics antigen LFT."
The government (and in particular Cummings) are blinded by tech - they love anything that goes ping. It doesn't matter if it works...
Anyone want to buy a satellite company?
The DNA nudge box can only hold one sample at a time and each sample takes 90 minutes to get a result, giving a theoretical max output of 16 results/day if used 24 hours a day. 94.4% sensitivity so it will miss 5.6 cases in 100.

This machine also needs sample back of throat and nose which no ones likes doing
Interesting the connection between Mologic and odx on the antigen test as they highlighted the connection to current hiv tests using similar methods which I assume odx have knowledge of from their work with burnet institute and themselves, let’s see where this one takes us. Been trialled, developing, university contacts already in place.
If the mologic saliva based test is good enough everyone will want to use them, it’s easy, quick and simple wherever the location
"These machines have been bought to use in house, in hospitals. They will not be used for mass testing. Seems like a sensible idea as hospital’s can use them 24/7 on admitted patients on a regular basis, which they’ll need to do given the internal environment within the hospital. As others have said, this will have no effect on us."
These machines will help fill the hole that some hospitals have in testing capacity (some are OK) and will provide some additional capacity for the second wave, when testing demand will increase. The reality is, though, unless the capacity of the machines can be increased (i.e. the test time reduced) they're little more than an interim fix.
They're a symptom of this government's obsession with everything that goes 'ping'. What the experts are advising them to do is concentrate on the getting the basics right, and to invest in low tech high output solutions - e.g. the sort of self-use LFTs that UK-RTC/Mologic/ODX do so well. It's no use having a few thousand machines that can do 16 tests a day each when you need to be doing a million tests plus a day.

This isn’t a new test, it was announced weeks ago, discussed to death on all the LSE BB’s.
It’s got huge limitations. And for the last time it’s NOT an antibody test. When will the stupid derampers digest this. IT IS NOT AN ANTIBODY TEST.
This poses NO risk to us. It requires machines, our tech is better. Now if Mologic could pull something out the bag with their LFT Antigen which incidentally IS DNA NUDGE’S COMPETITION, it’s game over for DNA AND IMPERIAL.
Corrupt, inept, shocking behaviour again.
