I prefer to look ahead,not back.
@Wadogara: Indeed it will, i hope you are correct, but i fear Colin has lost us 6 months already
@Computer..here's another Colin quote.: "We look forward with confidence that the coming year will be truly transfirmational"
@Computer..I disagree..time will tell.
@Wadogara: To quote our great leader
“As the global market for Antigen testing develops the Company believes self-test approval will be a key product differentiator, as has already been seen in the UK”
Nothing is coming without home use approval,
@Computer..erm,no.Sizeable orders for the Visitect test,professional use, could land at any time,from anywhere,particilarly EU.Also awaiting FDA approval.You're focusing on the home-use approval application,.and any other possible sources of negativity.
@Wadogara: "potential earnings from the other half of our capacity..1 million units per week"
Is that the capacity we are only just engaging the regulator for in June, after being sat with their heads up their arses for six months waiting for the DHSC to come riding over the horizon with the sovereign test.
However much we end up earning via the DHSC contract (£0 if u listen to all the naysayers..they're right.."it's all a big lie/con by the govt. and Colin",..at least £100 million my guess),..not so much talk about the potential earnings from the other half of our capacity..1 million units per week (guesstimate),a meagre,average,£1 net profit per test (to keep the dommsdayers happy),.£52million per year net profit..basically half our mcap,from half our capacity..at only £1 net profit per test..(hint..it WILL be more than this)..yeah,thinkin it's a no brainer.
@Greg: Lord “Bugger-up” bethnell support for the UK diagnostics industry has had the result of destroying it, There is no way they are throwing away the remaining 500m innova tests, after spending £4b (When you consider the brand new state of the art regional hospital near me cost only £250M to build) do you think Han**** would survive if he had to put his hands up to ****ing the equivalent of 16 brand new hospitals up against the wall? They will do anything to prevent that happening and it looks like the MHRA arent as independent as we are led to believe, the only chance we had of any meaningful numbers coming from our DHSC contract was the FDA news, but it looks like the government have ridden out that issue, not one of the journalistic heros that get access to ministers even raised it,
So the Uk government have introduced 2m lft capacity into the UK whilst removing all of the UK market (by buying them from china and giving them away free) ,
We hear about the government facilitating ODX talks for manufacturing with third parties that need the demand, a question has to be raised with that, by other manufacturers such as ABDX, BBI etc around state aid and unfair competition, if that demand is not for the Uk government, but we wait to hear details from Colin when he has finished his endless chit chat
Basically its a **** show of government creation, but we are deep in it up-to our necks
Apologies for pointing out the obvious but I see lots of post about testing needed and etc. etc. but if there is no news about any sales from Omega then it is pointless conjecturing until Colin can either release the news or be freed of the NDA. There are numerous questions being asked in Parliament by MP's but no answers and they are days and weeks overdue. Why is there a long delay in answering questions? Is the government waiting until the Innova factory is up and running (as they take their places on the board of Innova UK after resigning as an MP). All we hear is the need for a UK diagnostic industry but no help at all from the government. I still find it amazing that companies can make, have it approved and organise the distribution of a vaccine from scratch in half the time t takes the UK to approve a UK made LFT. Something is not right with the government at all. It will be interesting to hear what Colin says on the 13th as I thought the price couldn't fall much below 60p. I am still holding on here and seeing what happens but I thought we would be at about £1 by now.
