yea took at look at it's price moves on friday seems a keen interest after initial big dip! will take a look at fundamentals tomorrow!
Retail will take a hammering with shops closed but surely online retailers will boom even more with Xmas shopping starting
US election too. Be some big winners & big losers this week for sure!
retail will take a hammering if he announces 4 week shutdown at their busiest time!
might take a look over them later
I think it would be naive not to expect some panic next week. We're in agreement that the sp won't collapse in on itself but there is definitely the potential for a short sharp tumble into the 120s which I think wouldn't last long...
Next week, Thursday
has BWNG released their results yet ian?
yea agreed won't be a freefall but i think falls across the board. Nex should stay above 120 i think but who knows in this climate?
Me too, I'm out but ready to jump back in. We won't see anything like the falls in March and am personally only looking for the 120s.
You could see it coming tbh which is why i sold and went into online retailers who have to benefit with Xmas shopping up on us...
4 week lockdown coming by sounds of it. thinking maybe i should have got out of all shares for time being. Not going to be a good week ahead i think!
yep, noggers i was in 2 minds to be honest but BP is an old favourite of mine which has become so cheap & with the results there starting to turn around & the dividend confirmed for the foreseeable i had to get back in there. Have to say i may pull the rest from here on another BP dip as i just happy to load up there with such a good income & a massive upside too. NEX is great potential but very little happening & can't miss all the other good stuff out there. It'll probably boom up here if i sell out entirely but that's always the way it plays. Wish i'd bailed same time as you & would have had nice earner here. ne'er mind!
I don't think UK will go into a full lockdown as it is so damaging and there are signs this way is having an effect and that SAGE's figures are proving to be so far out every time some one can use REAL data to test their models that they are just sounding like pathetic doom mongers. I think the government are right not to call a full national lockdown as it it is only certain areas accounting for huge amounts of numbers - and they have been in measures for a long time and not really going down, so why should some area (most of the country) have to suffer for a few areas?!
It's called 'going bust' because some troll with nothing better to do than go around forums of shares that have lost ground recently decided to try and come here and start their nonsense.
By gum Paddy I didn't think you would have sold half your holding in this, I thought you were really committed to these.
I only have 10000 of these now but they seem to be holding well not going down every day like before.
Made a boob on my DDDD shares should have sold them last Friday when making a 8k gain they have dropped back a lot now, but I feel they will rise again in the near future.
I have quite a bit of cash in my account just waiting for a good opportunity to come along, with everything going on you don't know whether to buy or wait for a crash.
Good luck with your BP shares, not really my cup of tea.
Paddy good luck with BP. I’m sticking with shares that wont be too adversely effected by the pandemic until the 2nd wave starts to subside. on-line retailers are the only sector i see as benefiting. Bwng and boo for me at the moment.
agreed on the lockdown. just do it & get it out of the way. this current BS is bizarre!
ianb i sold half mine at 154 other day & pumped into BP @191. didn't want to miss that!
sad to say but despite all the great fundamentals this share is really failing to cut the mustard!
Why is the thread called going bust lol. There’s no way this will with its huge liquidity -
That said ive decided to sell for now, I’m still sat on a small profit and its drifting down everyday.
i will wait and see how many more countries will follow Frances lead in a full lockdown before buying back.
Tbh i wish the Uk would just get on with it and have a 4 week lockdown to stem the tide of this 2nd wave, the tier system seems to be having no positive impact.
I was just pulling your leg. I realise no-one here wants that (except the odd trolls)
Hey Guy who said i wanted it to crash, i wouldn't say going down 2p is crashing.
Well you've got your wish now Noggers, it has tanked since you sent this
All the trading news like proactive investor and others said this morning that the ftse was going to sink this morning, how do they get things wrong like this.
