North we go.... yesssss sirrrr yeee.....
Sorry I wasn't clear. I meant you can use pension allowance from up to four years previously, not ISA. You can only use your ISA allowance from the current year, so ยฃ20k each tax year. If you don't use it you lose it, and you can't use next year's allowance this year. Sadly.
RG
Haha, good luck and I hope you get what you need to get out the race.
SW1000 i been in IT since 78 and if EUA and Metro comes trumps, I m not working a day longer. Only three things I like more, them Money. Family/Drink and women.
I have a private SIPP which was a company one I took private a few years back, also got a woeful Scottish Widows 9ne with zero management capabilities.
I'm looking to transfer funds out each year to place into my SiPP to self manage, small charge but I reckon I can make more by managing myself.
Need to be out of the rat race at 55, 20 years of the IT security industry is starting to wear thin. ;0)
SW1000 thanks once again.

This statement should also help, I know about this as I had a few good quarters a couple of years back.
Any contributions you make over this limit wonโt attract tax relief and will be added to your other income and be subject to Income Tax at the rate(s) that applies to you.
However, you can carry forward unused allowances from the previous three years, as long as you were a member of a pension scheme during those years.
But there is an exception to this standard rule.
RG My IG ISA account won't let me add any more funds. Will call them Friday. Thanks
Thanks SW1000, much appreciated and will take a look
You can make use of any unused allowance from the last four years, but you can't use next year's allowance until next year.

Hi Amers,
Apologies , should have said pension not SiPP. The following has more info https://www.pensionsadvisoryservice.org.uk/about-pensions/saving-into-a-pension/pensions-and-tax/carry-forward
HH you are such a FECKING BAG OF ****, people can smell you miles away. I asked simple question, should have know there are more stupid people then me. Fecking scum bag, don't reply to my posts in the future.
I don't think I b allowed to have sipp's as I m getting pension and also in my Company pension.
In your SiPP you can use previous years allowances if over the thresholds.
I've been moving money out of funds and more directly managing myself and buying shares as some of the fund weren't performing brilliantly, will keep a mix of both for now.
Are we allowed to use our following year allowance earlier or do we have to wait until is it 6th April?
I got 25k more in my SIPP at around 191 earlier, retirement isn't come for at least 12 years so happy to see this one build over time.
My ISA is more immediate and would like to get a return this year
I'm holding my breath of EUA, let's hope she comes good... Suspense is killing me.
Would be great to see Metro come good also...double pay day ;0)
Below 190 reached today, North she heads tomorrow...
Cyberdog your share dealing fund based on your history looks to be in Metro only surely your not pulling our leg..
CybD - there is no easy money, unless you were luck to get in to EUA, but time will tell.!!!
Trust me, the only thing I want to get lucky with is the share price here! :-D
If I get my exit price, happy to send you all interested male or female parties over.
lol. I think JimD wants to Strike It Lucky with some one after the BBQ!!!
Barrymore? Apparently it was the pool thermometer in the deep end, all the shallow enders were in the shallow end.
Evening Mr cyberD
Letโs see how this does in a few quarters. 400-500 would be decent.
The fact that retail is now scared due to avalanche of lame news media articles is very telling.
Weak hands sell and being bought up by sticky hands. Happy to wait patiently.
