ABSOLUTELY Hilarious!!!
Whether it makes any difference to the share price I suppose it all depends on how many people decide to sell or buy. I have come to the realisation that there are people investing that shouldn't be let anywhere near the stock market. Any way I'm off to spend my 900% profits, have fun.
Hi Keith, I suppose some people see a sea of red or blue and may make snap judgements, lth's wouldn't take much notice, it's more of an annoyance. We've all seen the games people play on these boards to sow seeds of doubt in people's minds to know that some people are easily spooked into selling , or easily coerced into buying. Not enough people do enough research and rely on boards like this for their investing advice.
Right, that's got that cleared up then. Next question-does the mis-labelling of deals have any effect on the SP-i.e. does reporting buys as sells drag the price down?
Hi. "I can understand two of them showing as sells as I paid 21.4, but the other was at 21.95 when the ask was 22p, hardly below the mid point between the bid and ask,"
Looking at your three trades in context makes it clear that they are all buys.
But some of the trade listing services do not get the context right and thus can mis-label buys as sells and vice versa.
For example, if trade T is done at time X (when bid was BX and ask was AX), but published later at time Y when bid is BY and ask is AY, some listing services report it as:
time X, trade T, bid BY, ask AY
That explains your 21.95 trade being mislabelled.
A different consideration applies to your other two trades, priced at 21.4
For these, although bid was 21 and ask was 22, the context was two clusters of trades, one cluster around 21.1 (likely sells) and the other cluster around 21.4 or 21.5 (likely buys). Many listing services would have labelled all these trades as sells, because they only do simple arithmetic on the bid and the ask and do not look at the context.
I can understand two of them showing as sells as I paid 21.4, but the other was at 21.95 when the ask was 22p, hardly below the mid point between the bid and ask, but hey, I have them and they eventually got shown. Have a good weekend all.
My three buys at 14:31, 14:36 and 14:37 are not showing, we've just turned blue but not at the price I paid, so you could be right.
I’ve also had a cheeky top up to take advantage of the drop in between news, couldn’t buy in one lump, I had to split my order, perhaps all these sells are feeding a larger buy order? Time will tell.
Talking a lot about Gold & Silver prices rocketing over the next 3 years, with plenty of nervousness over FIAT currencies. Plus positivity over copper & even helium (not sure that's relevant to MT), so I've taken the opportunity
I have an HSBC U.K. account l attempted a top up on line but now for some reason I’m asked to use The Phone never had problems before. As lm In Asia not going to even try ...Shame so tempted at this price.
