I've been watching these since Simon first tipped them in IC. Good set of results & forward guidance today. Now they've had time to get a foothold in the 3 European countries, they should show a reasonable profit by the next update. I'm not expecting to pull up any trees with this one, but it shouldn't be heavily affected by AI or Recession. I'm now aboard.
Yep, fantastic acquisition at a great price. Just need to add balloon displays to their shops & flowers both instore & online. (if Funky don't already do flowers).
"Significantly higher margins", "additional and exciting growth opportunities", "strong balance sheet and no debt", £5m in the bank last June, £15m in the bank now. Dividend paying. What is there not to like?
Brilliant, sorry I can't find how to delete the previous messages. But if you search for the words directors and talk and then interviews or put the three words together before the com, then you should find it.
video well worth a watch - ceo sounds extremely upbeat https://www.***************************/warpaint-london-record-revenues-strategic-growth-and-a-bold-2025-vision-video/4121194476
Great thanks guys. My first card is already on the way & I'll put a note in the claendar to re-apply again at the end of May. As it takes up to 21 days to get here, I assume you can apply for the next card a week or two before expiry of the old one? I'm happy enough with the 3.6% dividend & then the breakfasts (for 2) will effectively give us an extra 1.2% "divi" each night we stay & will be even more beneficial every time they put the breakfast price up.
Bought into Whitbread today based on the depressed shareprice, reasonable dividend AND the free breakfasts. Upon doing some subsequent research into how to claim the breakfasts, I see the Whitbread site states that free breakfasts can be claimed up to 30th June 2025. Does that mean the share perk is ending? Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times before - I have tried scrolling back a couple of months but can't find anything relating to it.
My thoughts too. If they were genuinely confident of pulling the major deal off in the shorter term, then they wouldn't be actively seeking such drastic alternative options. Been following Equip for a while & was really hoping they could become a success story.
Well worth reading the full RNS. Cash drop fully explained & bit about expecting to update further is very signifcant imho. 5yr price trend suggests we are back on long term trend line, after maybe getting ahead of itself a little. I've just bought some more
Small Company Share Watch tweet this morning - "Down from the £8 highs in 2021, just when retail sales news looks bleak, PE firms Leonard Green and Advent rumoured to be circling #THG esp now the poison pill has gone. I can see a spike coming"
Now, will the FOMO brigade win the last half hour, in case a RNS drops before 8am tomorrow, or will the Day Traders have the last hurrah?? Looking like the latter are starting to move in.
Bought my first batch in Feb '18 at 28.8p & then some more when they dwindled to 14.8p in Feb '20. Unfortunately sold some on the way back up, but am still a happy man. Does anyone see any real possibility of a rival offer being made, or is it pretty sewn up?
PK63, it was a price monitoring extension and not a speeding ticket. I believe as news is imminent there's not going to be a great deal of trading until the update is released.
