physiological ??
psychological ..!!
It jumps up..because there are in fact very few shares available at the low prices....slightest bit of interest and the price goes up...
well one would assume that any placing buyer did so because they supported the new strategy ..and know it isn't a 5 minute investment...( which some retail investors look at it as :-) )
the daft thing about these things...is that..if it suddenly starts moving up...then everyone will start to think that good news is leaking .....it is all a physiological nonsense that only gets detailed with an update of facts
Poker re your 1049am
Herald inv 4.3%
SFT capital a whooping 27%.
Both bought in the placing.
If they have sold any it’s less than 1% as they have to issue aTR1 if they move through 1%.
I also know of a couple of PI,s with large holds one over 2%.
Agree more likely pi,s selling, those who bought thinking it was cheap 18-25p and throwing towel in. There was a bit of buying around xmas,
I guess the pi,s who bought 35-80p are stuck in hoping for a miracle.
Cenkos Securities may well be buying up these sells with the aim of selling them on ..within the City ...with a nice presentation pack ..to high wealth client investors ... ( remains to be seen )
Ian
you have done well to sit it out and wait ...
" can only assume a large holder is selling out "
I am not sure there are that many large holders ... the volume isn't very high ....say 0.5% of the shares traded to get these 5% drops... may well be a % of the same shares churned over and over ...to some extent
Yeah, yeah, I did see them stew200 and I guess you're right to mention them now. The reason I didn't is because when viewed in the void of genuine financial trading information and against the recent share price destruction, the notifications of 'Major Contract Wins' sound hollow and rampy, and just a bit desperate.
Give us meat - that's to say figures. Or maybe not. Too ugly!
This is no surprise with the perceived lack of clarity on 2021 performance and no indication of 2022 performance except vert broad brush claims it's going to be good.
The BoD communication strategy is pathetic - good or bad the news should be released. It always happens when there is uncertainty shareholders sell. We simply get hit harder by holding up news - directors who adopt that strategy invariably do it for themselves (to avoid scrutiny)
IMO there is no big seller and certainly no heavy selling, it's small scale selling from those throwing in the towel and crucially very few potential investors see a reason to buy so there is no balance.
It's all down to BoD incompetence, as a group they are relatively inexperienced in coping with AIM and I honestly think their advisers are the problem - they are big investor focused and don't give a hoot about PI's or recognise their role in IR
It sad but gives anyone with the nerve an opportunity.
Of course no one would form a
" major strategic sales and distribution alliance for LoopUp Cloud Telephony solution with a leading international telecommunications provider."
if they thought the whole LoopUP set up was a disaster
BUT..the continual lack of news on any of the other tenders in "advanced discussion" has had a somewhat negative impact on sentiment ...
There was the major contact win!? Did you see that or do you think it’s a major worthless win? Also 8 additional contacts
I just trawled through the 2021 RNSs for genuine trading information. In between all the 'Price Monitoring Extensions' (lol), there's indeed very little there - a trading update in February and another in July, plus the interims which were presented at the end of September. Nothing since. It's obvious they'd be telling us if good things were happening.
Very, very poor...but many of the trades are for small amounts ....many retail investors are throwing in the towel..and many traders are pushing the Bid down to force out weak speculative sellers
I suspect a few have been buying and hoping for a bounce ...only to panic and sell out again....as the % paper loss grows quickly ...
I am not convinced that the trading pattern , necessarily means there is anything different behind the scenes today..as there was a month or two months ago.....
The problem is also of liquidity....the panic sellers are having to take whatever anyone offers them...which isnt much.....
a MCAP of £14m is clearly nothing for the value of IP and investments made
The confidence in the BOD is not good ...they know what they have to do.....have they been doing it ?
What do you mean 10p Frac
10p?
Even I’m shocked at how low this has fallen.
Something is clearly not right, can only assume a large holder is selling out, loop placing was only 4 months ago at 25 now selling at 14,s. Needs a 40% rise just to get to placing price now.
Stew, the Bod have zero control over buying and selling. The markets reacting like loop are in trouble and Normally that means they are.
Will some one buy them out? A couple of posters suggested it’s likely for the customer base. I’m not sure about that, if your supplier goes bust you find another supplier. I’d suggest the value here for potential suitors is the licences.
All the way through the market has got wind of bad news. It feels to me like the Board of Directors of fraudulently letting someone sell before the issue the terrible news upon us. There is no way the price should have cratered so badly about pretty much terminal news coming up.
This complete silence from the board is only going to trash the share price as it will make holders panic fearing there is bad news around the corner. However the board are obliged to release bad news to the market so I can only assume that the results will not be materially different from expectations.
