Thank you for your comments and the IEA report will await developments.
Thank you well worth reading.
This is very interesting: https://iea.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/FOBT-Briefing-PDF.pdf
I think you are right. There has been some massive corporate purchases recently Nearly 25% of the stock is held by 3 organisations. The government gets 25% tax from the FOBT machines. I am not convinced they will give this up. So I do not think the government will do anything at all. Leave as is. Too many betting shops would shut down if they reduced FOBT machines.
I think many shares in the gambling sector are waiting for the results of Gogernment Inquiry into Fixed-Odds Betting Terminals.

Thoughts as to why?
Too late for a pre update but things look ok even though there were some headwinds. Makes you wonder how well things could have been. Like to see the debt coming down as the integration completes. Although real success will be a rising divi but suspect that might be a while away.
Any thoughts ahead of tomorrow trading update? An upbeat day today could show signs of confidence heading into tomorrow trading session?
Bloomberg says its off
Yet the SP falls by +6% wonder if some have heard something else. Still a traders dreams, if your good at trading that is. Ive held gold miners more steady than this!
offer to be confirmed on monday
I noted the high volatility over the last couple of sessions but have been quite busy so not been following the market too closely. Today's drop was on concerns that MP's are considering cutting the FOBT to a couple of quid max and limiting the numbers to boot. "The government has a duty to protect the most vulnerable in our society and to act in the public interest.” Lets hope they cut their expenses to a couple of quid a day too then, for the same reasons! Dont know why it kicked up to begin with though, traders dream right now but for me not much has changed as its got back to roughly even stevens. Then again there is always tomorrow
What is going on? 17:00 and google finance now showing .07% rise, while advfn and an bell saying 7.08%. Hope it is Google with a decimal point issue
