knee jerk reaction?
Riddock what sort of reaction are you expecting?
I totally agree with you I think 4 August interim will be shockingly positive Would not be surprised if she price will be 1.55 on 4 August
Would be shocked if when merger completed that share price don't reach 2. Ladbrokes is in best shape its been in for a few years.

Hi chrisma - Anyone answering your question would be doing so based on speculation. For what it is worth ... anything can happen ... your 'theories' are probably just as good as anyone else's - depending on how much you paid to get into here. When I say that ... anything can happen ... here's a surprise move ''that could'' affect the long term strategy of Ladbrokes. Who knows? ''888 and Rank Group join forces to bid for William Hill'' http://www.lse.co.uk/ukMoneyNews.asp?code=cm5am0p1&headline=888_and_Rank_Group_join_forces_to_bid_for_William_Hill I'm nicely in profit here so will be holding on to my shares - Good Luck
Hi. I've a few of these shares in our portfolio and was wondering what people think is in store for ladbrokes over the next 6 months and what could the sp go too. I've got my theories but would like to hear a few more. Cheers

Latest Ladbrokes Odds - Next Permanent Tory Leader: Theresa May .................... 4/11 Andrea Leadsom .............. 4/1 Michael Gove .................... 8/1 Stephen Crabb ................ 25/1 Liam Fox .......................... 40/1 I really do fancy a modest £20 @ 8/1. I think that Theresa May - but Michael Will.
LOL forgotten the apostrophe, unfortunately my holding is considerably smaller than 1 million.
'BH57' - I am glad that you posted again. Sorry for my far too hasty reply to your post of 16:40 Friday. I should have paid a lot more attention and read through the links that I posted. Yeah! - Your 'Tesco post' made me chuckle. I had shares in Tesco (many) years ago. I had shares here too - sold at a profit - but I am back in again. Good Luck with yours. But honestly - I'm letting my shares lie and waiting of a 200p sp. That's when I'll think about what to do next. Top slice would be an option? Hi 'titanium_man' - (great name for a 'Marvel Comics' super hero!) Your post threw me ... 'Im also holding Ladbrokes' ... no apostrophe, - so is that Im (as in I am) or 1m (as in 1 million?) - L o L
Im also holding Ladbrokes.
Glad the tesco one gave you a chuckle but I was right, tesco are winning customers back with costs and service now.. I'm holding Ladbroke till they reach 180p,hopefully soon.
'But with much more money bet on remain than leave - - the bookies are likely to turn a large profit' (the Guardian) (Quote) Matthew Shaddick - Ladbrokes’ head of political betting: 'This vote worked out very well for us' Speed reading isn't always a good idea. I should have paid a lot more attention - its been a long day!
I have just clicked onto your name and read your post from 8th March regarding Tesco. This has got to be THEE post of the century. Had me 'rolling about' with laughter. Seriously mate - I wish you Good Luck - and thanks for the chuckle. Do yourself a favour and buy 'a few' of these shares.
Not so : http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-06-24/how-did-the-bookies-get-it-so-wrong-ladbrokes-tries-to-explain + https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jun/24/bookies-got-eu-vote-wrong-ladbrokes-says + I wonder if they will publish how much of a loss?
Ladbrokes seem to have made a bundle on the vote, most punters betting remain, good news on profits?
EU Referendum - Ladbrokes (current) Odds: 1 / 2 to REMAIN ..... 13 / 8 to LEAVE https://sports.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/betting/politics/
Ladbrokes to move from Rayners Lane HQ by 2017. Stratford or Central London preferred base. Merger looking more and more likely share price will surely nudge £2 once goes through.
whats your point of your post regarding ladbrokes
If you think the RMG fiasco is bad, you should try trading on AIM. Anything goes on AIM even forward selling on non existent stock, (NEW). Remember the trader in the Libor scandal who was jailed? I'll quote him, "If you aren't cheating, you aren't trying hard enough". Says it all really.
Re' the '$hiffy Boys' ... perhaps we should have Vince Cable handling this transaction? You know? Like he handled the Royal Mail fiasco! Hang on a drop ... didn't the '$hiffy Boys' pile into that - (for about 5 minutes) - and make a killing, whilst us lesser mortals couldn't even get a foot in the door? And look at Royal Mail today ... on its 4rze! Corrupt? Well, could be ...?
On the way down for the city boys. Nice
Good moaning All - [joke] Ladbrokes and Coral told to sell one in 10 stores ahead of £2.3bn merger: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2016/05/20/ladbrokes-and-coral-told-to-sell-one-in-10-stores-ahead-of-23bn/ Away the LAD's! Nice to be on (another) winner ...
