'Surely, if the funding is about to be done the title of that presentation would be more of a positive one?
"First cab off the rank" suggests the same old and nothing has really changed?'
In my view (and more importantly the view of the person/organisation that formulated the agenda) it is a positive reference to the company's position in Ethiopia (and SA!). Dictionary references below would suggest that is a fair interpretation....
'The first to seize an opportunity'
'the first person, etc, to do or take advantage of something'
'Figurative reference to cabs at a taxi rank, which wait in a line for passengers, the frontmost cab departing first'
It would be nice if financial deals had a UI component you could watch with the bar sliding towards completion.
Admittedly the trading is tedious. I hope that when an announcement is made they don't convert the warrants during a rise, dampening it.
And yes I think "first cab off the rank" is intended to be positive. It's not "first cab on the rank awaiting a customer" but setting off.
If it were a placing I'd expect them to move it up, not hold it for a month or more round 2p. It's too long for forward-selling anyway. (I suppose if many of your trades aren't yet settled, after 2 days there might be something in it.) I'd wondered whether it might be the warrants, where the broker would be expected not to disrupt the market, but it's been going on far too long. Watching it (too much) I still think it's most likely to be someone's strategy. Because the spread is usually tight, it's hard to trade either with or against it. There's not much activity in the book, which prevents the potential gain from getting the best price.
I think "First cab off the ran" has a positive meaning for Kefi!

Perhaps Harry is getting twitchy and more dilution on the cards lol.
You could be right. It generally isn't by chance that the SP loiters close to a certain figure. Interesting times. Big month!
Nothing of great importance no doubt as any notifiable or sp changing news would need to be by an RNS.
The way this sp is being set a fundraise is defo on the cards. There is no other explanation why we are continually below 2p when the expectations are very high.
Although t's been quiet recently, it doesn't necessarily mean all is going exactly to plan - have witnessed this on HZM recently. However, I hope it is. Has harry ever used seminars in the past to drop hints or move the goal posts? - wondering what we might expect to hear during the upcoming seminar.
Steve, I think it's best for everyone if you don't share what you are touching whilst you are typing your messages. ;) I've got my fingers crossed for this month, otherwise I would then fear a hit to the share price and another fundraise!. We have hope.
Just another piece of the jigsaw lol
Just because we have advertised for HR appointments, it does not necessarily mean that we will have finalised funding during this month. I like your positivity as we move forward. ;-)
Even if there is a delay (and I don't see any concrete evidence for that so far), it would depend on the circumstances. If it is o the lines of "we have some papers not yet signed so we need to wait a month", then I expect a small dip followed by a recovery. The only way I can see any significant hit to the share price is via some major event that disrupts the consortium (I am touching wood as I type that) :)
I've listened to Harry's interview a couple of times and he seems convinced that TK funding sign off will be by the end of the month. DD finished after December site visits and all parties giving assurance to the Ethiopian Minister that the funding will be in place within the agreed timescale. We were even appointing a Head of HR to begin the staff appointments needed to build a mine. When this funding is in place Harry can then focus on Saudi and Hawiah and the potential new licences we've applied for....
I would like to see funding sorted and signed by the end of this month or sooner. The last webinar was very positive for this. Looking at this right now, my gut instinct is telling me that we will be "awaiting documents" to be finally signed. I do seem to recall though, that on that last webinar, he (Harry) had to think about when the next one was and said that the financing/funding would be sorted.
I am sorry that I do not know when that webinar will be.
As H said this funding will be done by then... full stop.
Too quiet for this funding to be fully completed by end of March.
