https://news.mongabay.com/2018/04/anglo-american-iron-ore-pipeline-suffers-second-rupture-in-brazil/
MLQ/ good man so we could pay a fee to them and use there pipe line ?
Blimey MD....... At least tell me which mine????????
Transporting iron ore to Açú Port
The iron ore is extracted and processed in the state of Minas Gerais and transported as slurry to Açú Port in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
“It is 100% owned by Anglo American through its subsidiary, Iron Ore Brazil.”
The ore is extracted through conventional open-pit mine operations. It is processed at the beneficiation plant to upgrade Fe content. With an average plant feed ROM of 56mtpa at 39.5% Fe content, the plant will produce maximum 29.8mtpa of 68% Fe pellet feed following the crushing, grinding and concentrating.
The pellet feed is transported through a 529km long slurry pipeline that passes through 32 municipal districts to connect to the Port of Açu. The ore slurry is pushed through the pipe line by gravity with two pump stations and one valve station. The pipeline is 24in to 26in in diameter.
The ore is dewatered in the filter plant located near the port for shipment.
MLQ/ l bloody well no all that but you haven't answered my question were are the other mines shipping from because santa port is fully booked on all piers that included pier 2 read the contracts for the year till January , come on find out your the man, lol
@md: STOP shouting lol..
Plan A is still ship from public port, Depending on Berth availability. Monies from this is then put
back into the company to repair the private port and railway connection to the mine....
There is pier 2 !! Ore is loaded using the ships own craines and grabs..
I’m not expecting any ore to move this calendar year anyway.
It’s going to take at least 2-3 months to sort out the contracts and until they are done I can’t see the banks agreeing to remove their appeal.
If we have learnt anything in the last 12 months it’s not to believe any date predictions from the Bod. First it was Dec19, then in moved to Qtr1 then Qtr2 early qtr 3 ie June then it moved to imminent, which to me is within 4 weeks. It’s been 4 weeks since the imminent comment.
It moved from specifying dates, to words such as imminent to comments such as “I don’t know what will happen first, shipping the order or the finalisation of contracts”
No wonder people are selling up and moving their money elsewhere I would be if I’d bought below 10p.
Every deadline has been missed and therefore they are just saying they don’t know now. Doesn’t fill you with confidence does it.
MLQ/ IT SEEM THAT THE PORT WE ARE LOOKING AT HAS TOOK OUT A CONTRACTS FOR THE YEAR AND ARE FULLY BOOKED, SO IF THATS THE CASE WERE DO WE SHIP OUR ORE FROM?
Morning all..
MD: None ID'd Incoming now showing as "Big Brenda" Soya
MLQ//yes l no that l posted that last month , the question is were are the other mines shipping from , remember they are only a few miles from our mine do you get what l am trying to say ?
It's all in the RNS's @md: From mine to private port via Serra Do Navio Railway... 3 stock piles currently in the private port
to be trucked to the public port.. 2 km away..
that port has not shipped any ore since 2015, so were are the other mines shipping from "now from what l can read macapa is only a short distance from the main rail track , l still believe that the ore is on amapa land or inside that huge Wearhouse at Macapa what do you think , Macapa has a 12 meter draft
@md: Nothing of the right size or without another port logged..
Tug way out just sitting there.. seems a long way out..
One incoming but out of AIS range to see what....
MLQ/ can you see the Black Pearl " is she still anchored just out side of the Amazon basin
