The ships leaving the HBR...
^ if Mr Marris wishes to improve his reputation then perhaps some online investor interviews about future plans would be appreciated?
"Perhaps his real bonus was going to come from after giving the company away to bond holders ?"
Or perhaps not. There is no evidence this to be true or false and is pure supposition and doesn't do anybody any good. Not that of the reputation of Maris, nor indeed the reputation of the company or indeed the value of the shareholdings. Better to push the company value on what you do know rather than try to keep the value down by spreading gossip based on unfounded rumour.
"but perhaps next year our BOD will be getting a raise, or share options"
It is an option on the table if its passed by shareholders. However, equally, they may not depending on tomorrows vote. Either way it will be a 'by majority' shareholders decision.
Yep. Maris’ salary may be on the low side. However I agree the BOD here never hold investor meetings. So after tomorrow don’t expect much comms. Over at Longboat HH is paid about the same, but perhaps next year our BOD will be getting a raise, or share options. Just you wait!
> £400k for a CEO's salary is quite low.
Perhaps his real bonus was going to come from after giving the company away to bond holders ?
Never before has a company been so embarrassed by a financial turn around.
£400k for a CEO's salary is quite low.
Funny business...
Anthony Marris draws an eye watering salary of 400K per year.
There is not a single video of him online talking about Hurricane Energy.
Can anyone think of any other oil company where the board are so shy ?
Response;
Thank you for your email.
The last few years has led to many companies adopting a wide range of approaches to AGMs. This has included some companies providing the ability to watch / listen to AGMs where they cannot attend in person, particularly due to Covid restrictions at the time. Now that restrictions have been lifted, companies are again adjusting their approaches to AGMs.
Hurricane, like many of its peers, has chosen to carry out its AGM in person. There will not be a video or audio link available. Those wishing to watch, participate and / or vote need to be shareholders and attend in person, or vote in advance by proxy. We will, however, be providing a copy of the AGM presentation on the website along with the written script that will be spoken by management at the meeting.
Kind regards
