Depends what retail
I want a new shirt .. but I need my car or bike or scooter
need vs discretionary
Well said young Sir
keep posting Flashbuyer, don't mean to put a downer on things, we're all in it! sentiment hit quite hard in the market in general and retail -- gosh... we just need an end to the Ukraine nonsense, and for inflation to drop then this horse can continue it's trend upwards, for now its a buying opportunity for those not loaded up to the gunnels
Just on your previous reply on no where near £6 .. it’s traded £5.50 pre pandemic .. e bikes & e scooters wasn’t around then .. and they had dumped the garages .. look at the difference now with the u turn on acquiring the competition business’s in the sector, I am an old git and yes I do like halfords a lot .. I love cycling .. the environment .. cars .. motoring .. motorsports .. innovation so this is a perfect stock choice for me & has been over the years .. I just add my input for anyone who wants to read or for any investor that is down at the moment .. things will get better in the world .. shutting up now but if you do like my input recommend or if you don’t then don’t and I will shut up and watch from the sidelines. Have a lovely evening all.
Yes, could well be a great investment for us all. 6% div now, what more could we want. The final alone is 4% at these prices... Its pretty high beta now, ftse down 2% this goes down 5... Makes you think in a market crash these could hit 70p again if ftse down 25%... Hopefully not!!

Excactly & that’s why your still here & have interest the same as the rest of us, it’s a good company a good stock good sector good products/services, halfords can pretty much set the price on e bikes & when e scooters become legal demand equals upping the price. Fuels gone up a lot .. roads still busy as ever .. I’m still getting stuck in traffic everyday .. rail strikes .. staycations .. this is a good stock to be in at the moment
Nowt any of us can say to get that, but I've been in this for a good few years, purchases from sub 60p to 3£ most likely,
& I love peoples passion for wanting a lower entry price
Flash buyer, love your passion for this company but it ain't likely to go anywhere near £6... If we see £2 I'll be happy, if we ever get back to 3.5 I'll be extremely happy, gla, sadly it tends to be a low rated share generally available at a pe less than 10, but good luck, let's hope for some major rating catalysts

IMHO Halfords are in the best position they’ve ever been
That we’re going to keep on motoring to £6-8 a share
With £98M this past year and the acquisition s like National tyre (Axel Group) all going to contributing to top and bottom line, do we really think the UK will be so much lower on car servicing, fleet hire, bicycle and also EV cars and bikes servicing and repairs will be so low. Only £65M to £75M next year seems too pessimistic to me and that’s what’s crushed the SP. Also they did their recent capital raising at 340p so to me and maybe some of the II’s piling in recently there is surely an upside back to c.340p one would think. I’m living abroad at the moment so lost touch, however do we think we will be so much lower than this year unless we have a big goodwill right down coming and we paid too much for the new businesses - What are peoples thoughts please?
